Been playing around 20 hours with the mod. Before, I was avoiding grabbing talents, clearing fights without using plants or potions, and fearing that my desire to explore the Highlands while doing the main story would make me over leveled for most of the game's challenges. But after I installed this, I've been getting my ass kicked. And I love it. Every fight is a desperate scramble, and clearing a large camp of enemies feels like I actually accomplished something. So far I haven't noticed any major bugs or issues so far.

A question I have is about Felix Felicity. Did this mod remove the potion? If you ever return to modding, a mod that increases the amount of horlump juice you obtain per resource node would be nice. They are a pain to farm.

    EDIT: some observations

Graphorn health needs some tweaking, riding around on it means I get melted by most groups. Maybe that's intentional, but it seems that the Graphorn is supposed to be resistant to magic, and the PC should be an harder target to hit when mounted.

The ability to set a hard cap to amount of health potions for challenge purposes should be added. Perhaps an optional mod.

Any need for an update on this . I use mod merger which fixes problems in versions . However it deletes more then a hundred entries regarding quest . Last playthrough half the game played fine then hit a wall of bugged out quest that could not be completed . Any entries it deletes from this mod are reverted to vanilla so would that miss it up ...

    Thanks for any help .

Appreciate the work put into these balance changes. Never really did much in the game and put it down for a while to play other things but this seems exactly what I would want in my game. Cheers!

hello thank you very much for the mod, I have a question, do you need to install your other mods with this? Or does this mod already include all your other mods?

Only one question: does this fix how some Infamous Foes are so underleveled?

I have found nothing in the PhoenixShipData that changes it. Certainly they are not affected by the NPCLevelScaling table.

So far I'm loving this mod! But in the first DADA lesson, I didn't want my MC to "show off" and seem all powerful, because she's a Slytherin. I wanted her to "hide" her powers, so to speak - thing is, when she got hit once by Sebastian, it was a one shot...

I made a few personal edits with Hogwarts Mod Merger, that you can take into consideration if you want, because it either feels immersion breaking or is just a literal time sink/feels annoying.

I removed the restriction on the disillusionment charm, because my MC went out of it during the restricted section quest, and didn't get discovered despite a prefect looking right at her and Sebastian, and also feel it's a bit odd there's a time limit on it. I changed the brewing time for Focus and Thunderbrew back to standard, because it was more of an annoyance than anything else really, having to wait for them to finish brewing. I kept the longer times on everything else, but shortened the chopping station to 2100 sec (35 min), hopping pot to 2700 sec (45 min), and material refiner to 2700 sec (45 min, costing 32 to place and gives 30).

      Thanks for your comment :)
On what difficulty did you played your first DADA lesson? If it was on hard and you dont had some Gear that could happen maybe.

Think the disillusion charm needs a nerf. if i am able to kill everything without even get 1 time aggro. Would like to use it more, but not like it is in the Vanilla version.
Actually is thought i already set the brewing time back to standart :D thank you, thought the same.

It was on hard difficulty and with no gear - I assume it can't be adjusted too much then, except of lowering the difficulty? It's definitely something I can live with, because it's only in that instance, and I'd much rather have that happen, than not have this mod! But if it can be adjusted somehow, it could be great for other playthrough's :)

Regarding the disillusionment charm, would it be possible to "lower" the strength of the charm, when you've used PT on someone? So for a ~5 sec time period, enemies will come closer and discover you faster, maybe like the reaction they have, when you shoot a spell to distract them, and they run over there, but instead they have that reaction when you use PT as well? I'll admit I don't really like that enemies don't come over to discover what happened to their comrades either, kind of like they don't even see it/don't care, so a nerf of some kind could be great! But I'm not a big fan of suddenly reappearing, without knowing the CD or anything.

You're welcome! I'll probably shorten the material refiner to 30 - 40 minutes, but receiving 20 or 25 and having a 22 or 27 cost, because receiving 30 moonstone seemed a little too OP. I'm still undecided. I haven't played around too much with hopping pot, since I only just now got enough gold to buy it (also wasn't top on my priority list of things to get), but I might change the time to 50 minutes, so it takes nearly one in-game day of brew time instead, but that will be the max amount of time I'm willing to wait for it :p

      Once again, love this mod!

Edit to say I also removed the childhood stages, because I don't want the babies to grow up - but that's just me xD

2nd edit to ask if you wouldn't mind increasing the prices of the brooms in Hogsmeade to 2-3000 galleons, except of the house broom? That adds a bit more of a gold sink, without it being necessary to buy in the beginning!

Sorry that I kind of forgot to answer to your message.

yeah it is a bit hard to balance it on every level and on every Gear situation, without gear you only have the possibility to decrease the difficulty, if it’s to hard. Hard mode is Made for an Endgame. Or really challenging game. And actually I never get even 1 Hit by Sebastian, so if you want that he attacks you first it could kill you :D

sadly that is not really possible I think :(. But I could increase the impact Noise on PT to a higher Level. So everyone hears you when casting or on the impact. I understand that it’s kind of an issue that you can’t see the duration of disillusionment.
But it fells so overpowered to be invisible all the time. Harry needed a Cloak for that, even in the last films he was never so strong :Di don’t want to have the possibility to kill everything in stealth, or at least very hard to manage this.

      Tipp on using disillusionment:
mix it with the invisible potion to increase the duration and close the Gap. ;) that was my intention.

about the Hopping Pot, Normal time is 10 or 15 Minute I think not sure . With a drop of 1 Potion.
I increased the potions to 1-3 potions, depending on the potion. So actually it’s not that big difference to the vanilla game..
because you get up to x3 loot and the time is like   x3 + a few minutes
That was the reason for that time :) I still have more potions that I can’t pick up instead of waiting times.

i understand the childhood part, but it fells a bit unbalanced if they not grew up,. actually I didn’t it to sell them and regrow up them all the time :) with some realistic aspect,

Really good point on the Broom prices. I will do that :D pls don’t update, just comment again.xD didn’t saw that

SO! I have just after at least 10 attempts won the Cross Wands Tournament. My goodness that was tough! It was like the girl who casts Confringo gets through your shield because the timing of her attack is actually a split second later than normal gameplay and she catches you just off guard. My shield timing is probably a bit off because of that but on Hard difficulty it was incredibly difficult to win! Actually feel like I have achieved something now!  If you don't like to sweat then probably play on Normal. This is going to be a very hard long road...just the way I like it!

      Thanks for your comment :)

yeah it should be a good challenging Game now :D
yeah  Normal difficulty it’s not super hard and actually made for a new Game. Hard Mode is more for a Endgame where you have some stuff unlocked already (or for a really challenging new Game)

Don’t use this mod in the Quest Potion Class!
just  remove it before you are going to that quest.
orherwise you have not enough materials to brew Edurus!  You could check the materials before going there and just buy them, but the quest won’t give you enough materials
actually a small issue that I was not able to remove

      some tips :
      - stupefy is not always the best way. Only use protego. You should be able to block really fast. But don’t try to counter with stupefy on big fights
       - use your Potions. They are extremely powerful but expensive to brew. They should help on harder parts

hope you enjoy this mod :)

Ah yes of course! That is really good advice. I never thought of that! Because Stupefy takes too long and creates that split second window of vulnerability that was kicking my ass! I was in Hogsmeade and actually bought some ingredients that I would need later on to save myself some time catching up. Just want to say thanks for making this mod. If it wasn't for all you folks out there grinding away, these multi-million dollar software developers' half-baked premature AAA releases would never run as great as they should so THANK YOU. Will give more feedback as I progress but this mod is working great.

NB - For anyone who is stupid like me (lol) I would use mod merger to be safe. I found that mod merger merged my NPC AI overhaul mod this one and I'm sure that has sorted out any potential conflicts. So in theory these now work great together and the records harmonise.

      You are welcome :)
Yeah I agree, it’s a shame how unbalanced this game is. So many unfinished parts. But still incredible awesome when it comes to map design and map details. They definitely did a good job on design, but actually missed a bit of work at the Balance and Content.

i am still thinking of loggin in to the Official Warner Bros Hogwarts Legacy Discord to Post this database and Ping all Devs. And give it to them as free to use / upload as Patch xD with.maybe with some small adjusts for casual players
maybe you noticed that this mod is just a Merged Version of my 5 Balance Mods. So it took a bit of time to create this :P and maybe the devs are notice  this as well..maybe they offer me a job to balance the next Hogwarts Legacy Game xD

and yes, you should merge every SQL mod together with this. And NPC AI is completely compatible. using it as well ;)
it does have a high impact to the database because of the size, but things like NPC AI, Spell Unlocks or other special things are compatible.

Sadly is was the first thing I tried to do when I started to Mod Hogwarts Legacy. And not just me,
Even if you change Any spell on the NPC and all Loadouts, they are still using there Vanilla attacks for some reason, but maybe we just don’t know how. Think it should be possible
