Late response, but in case others ask the question. Once the mod is installed with Vortex, from "Mods" click on the arrow next to "Remove" and then select "Open in File Manager". Remove the folders of colors you do not want and deploy your mods, there should be only one folder (with the name of the chosen color) with 3 files in it. If your mod has already been activated, check also in your game folder*. To avoid this situation you can disable the automatic activation of mods after their installation in "Settings" => "Interface" => disable "Enable Mods when installed (in current profile)".
Darker purple, alternate blues and greens (lighter, darker, etc), blue-green(s), white, gray, black, I don't think I missed any. I'd like to see more colors :) Maybe adjusted oranges and yellows? I dunno.. How about adjusted to look like enemy shields that are yellow, purple, and red? Well the yellow and orange that exist might be close enough(?) but the purple and red need work.
So... I'm having a problem, I really wanted to use orange or purple, but no matter what color I choose from the files, the only one that shows is greenish yellow. Could anyone tell me why?
is it possible to add one to remove the protego shielding color completely? like invisible. i know that sounds counter intuitive lol but just curious if its a possible option
an option for "no color/invisible/very translucent" would be great. I personally don't like the effect and prefer no shield. This mod is super cool though!
Yes! I've always hated the 'bubble'. I'd much rather have it like the movies or even from the early game play where the MC just 'deflects' the spell without the annoying protego bubble.
For anyone wanting white protego it has already been done with the Functional Elder Wand with Handles mod.
Download the Elder Wand Cast file: https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/293?tab=files Then Blueprint Apparate: https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/56 Once in game, press F8 and type "ElderWand", then use F7 to turn it on or off, to get the white protego and white basic cast.
I have the Elder Wand Cast file installed. I like the color change for basic attack. But I want the protego color change. Is there any way to get the cast from Elder Wand Cast and the protego color change from this mod to work together?
Such a great mod, thanks. Feels better to be protected by the house colors. I wonder if it would be possible to add protegos as extra spells with different colors depending on where you sleep for every Hogwarts Student, and other factions as well. I know it's probably too much effort for one person, your work just made me realise it's much more fitting that way, especially since the spell is always equipped.
there's Elder Wand Cast script by narknon hosted on the elder wand with handles page that switches protego to a white variant , basic cast to stupefy and boosts damage. it's op but the white protego and base cast look awesome, you can beef difficulty like spawns and aggro windows to compensate
