Well, the description explains perfectly what it is... "Allows importing / exporting of outfits from mods like OutfitStudio." So that people can easily share outfits that made changes with OutfitStudio. Both tools just came out and tool its self are still in beta. It'll take sometime for this to be used by modders, but it'll be used frequently soon I'm sure. OutfitStudio is very easy to use and make changes a lot more casually than actually making a mod outside of the game. So, if you are interested to make your own custom outfit you should try OutfitStudio.
We can copy the settings for the customized outfit, save that at somewhere like a notepad or Text Document on desktop for example. And than we can use this anytime we want with putting them in f7 and click on import. We can either use the coloring on the outfit we wear, or let the mod change it to the matching outfit.
Did I get it right?
If so, we can share this settings to friends that has the mod, and they can have it without installing additional clothing recoloring mods. If it is the case, this is really awesome
Yeh it exports the coloring info that you would see in a mod like Dekita's Outfit Studio, while it doesn't require outfit studio to work, the changes wouldn't be permanent so I recommend using that.
Yup! I already had Dekita's mod. Now I don't have to have dozens of coloring mods ^^ Thank you so much
About the F keys,
I am able to change the keys for the other mods that conflicts and I suggest people to also do that. numpad keys are very useful since nothing touches them in HL to my knowledge.
Also Dekita's recent mods have a nice system too. the Weather UI mods allows you to click on an extra icon that show up at field guide page, that is very handy. I don't know if they are willing to share the knowledge for that though. but it looks like the future of blueprint mods to me, instead of needing lots of key combinations
When I press F6, I only see a "hand cursor" and nothing else. I don't see the overlay box with the applied button as you show in the image section. Is it a bug or am I missing something? I get the copied from OutfitStudio, etc. except the F6.
It seems that it doesn't save all the modified settings made by OutfitStudio in the current version. If this can save all the settings from OutfitStudio this tool is very handy, since this doesn't require OutfitStudio to apply changes.
Well, if this requires Outfitstudio it kind of defeats the purpose of this tool doesn't it? The settings didn't apply was textures/normal settings. It does keeps the color changes. Although, I removed Outfitstudio to apply changes I made to see if it works without it. If you were intended to use this with Outfitstudio installed then... I don't know how useful for end users. Modders can just share saves from Outfitstudio if they wanted to.
Edit I apologize if I sounded bit harsh... I didn't mean to be offensive or anything. Now that I think of it I think I see the benefit of this. Since the Outfitstudio saves many other unrelated settings such as hair, eye color, and facial complexion this does makes it easier to apply only outfit changes. Was that your initial intent for this tool?
huh weird that it doesn't apply textures, it did when I wrote it. and tbh all it really is is a text version of the OutfitStudio saves. I've purposely left our hair/head settings as they aren't rlly part of the outfit. What this does also allow is for mod developers to export from outfit studio and import back into the editor or vice-versa
hmm, perhaps maybe because when I try to apply without OutfitStudio? Does this apply over transmogrified clothing? Or do you have to apply on actually the same model of clothing? Here is the picture of my clothing that I was trying to apply without OutfitStudio. None of the changed textures you see on this picture didn't apply except color change. picture I changed every outfits textures/color except the DA robe.
Ground breaking, you're the best! I can't wait for the community to exchange outfits. I found myself rather bad at doing the changes 😆 I will be looking forward to importing others outfits lol
Well this has just smashed the doors open on outfit sharing over the community! Can't wait to see people posting their code and images to see them. Great work! :-)

So tell me if I got this right or not.

Or can I mix and match the models of different bottom/top parts with other outfits models?
