This skin was originally meant to be for my personal use but having received a number of requests about it I decided to release it for those who want to try it out.
The textures in this mod were generated using Photoshop by blending base game textures T_YF_HeadBase02_Ivory_D (skin 1 - 5) and T_YF_HeadBase02_Tan_D (skin 6 - 9) with the base texture for npc Poppy Sweeting, and include some custom tweaks that suited my personal tastes. It's a fairly simple blend and is intended to provide a natural look for female player characters.
Thank you so much! Is it possible to create separate files for skintones 6-9? I am so in love with them, that is literally everything I wanted for these skins. But I have another mod for complexions 1-5 and I'd like to keep it for my current playthrough - and start another character with your mod :D
I should have added separate options from the beginning; sorry about that! Just added separate files for the ivory and tan skins to the Optional Files section. Enjoy!
Does anyone have experience editing existing characters? If I install this mod, then open another utility mod like Character Editor to change the skin, will it work?
If you install this mod and your existing character already uses a skin option from 1 to 9, said character will already be using this skin. But you should also be able to use Character Editor to choose from the complete range of skin options available to a female player character, including options 1 to 9 that are covered by my mod. Hope that makes sense.
does this fix the hair net texture that the female model has under the hair?
sadly with any short haircut you will see the dark hairnet underlayer heavily when turning your head which looks really bad to me (and breaks immersion)
The game's base head textures, or at least the ones that this mod overrides, don't have hair painted or baked with the texture. I don't have any experience with the hair models in this game but I assume what you're seeing is a hair cap that might be part of each hair model. This mod won't affect that; it's just a skin texture replacer.
I see dang. just sucks cause the haircap texture thing only ever shows on female characters. every haircut looks perfectly fine on the male head models.
