FYI, don't try to breed the Phoenix, it makes a bugged Graphorn that crashes the game.

I'm not certain this mod is working, I have not encountered any beasts outside of dens yet after playing for several hours. I've checked my mods, merged them, and ensured that my mods all work but I'm not sure about this one. Many other beast related mods don't work since the latest update so this mod may need an update as well

Can you give us a hint where to find phoenixes now that you've updated? I tried irondale a few times like other commenters have, and I've scoured the mountains, but no luck yet!

The only other mod I have that ModMerger thinks I need to merge is "Alohomora Unlocked" (zzz_alohomora_unlocked_p). Do I remove z_BeastEncounters_P and zzz_alohomora_unlocked_p from my /~mods folder after pasting in the zMergedMods_P file? I assume so but don't want to f*** something up.

Did not find much info about other beasts and where they could be located, so some freedom taken there. But about graphorn wiki says  ""The Graphorn is found in mountainous European regions. Large and greyish purple with a humped back, the Graphorn has two very long, sharp horns, walks on large..."" etc.

interesting that they decided to add beach locations instead of mountain locations then.

They still appear in their dens too right?
How does this affect non-magical animals?
Also mod merger says the mod is outdated. It doesn't have the database changes of the March 8th update to the game. There are many red entries!

Outdated entries should be fixed now. Re-uploaded.
Non-magical creatures will spawn a bit less, as this mod uses those spawn points to spawn magical beasts. Beasts still appear in dens.

Love the mod wish troll and other npc randomly spawn like this "it's spiders, wolfs or darks mages all the time" wish we had more variety

I think I got super lucky - before I got the nab-sack quest (so I couldn't capture them), I saw two Graphorns! Female and male! Really wanted to capture them, but couldn't... When I came back to the same place with the nab-sack, I only found a male, no female. But I did find a Phoenix flying around! And a shiny female at that :D Now I just gotta advance in the main quest line, so I have room for them xD

Didnt think Phoenix's had a shiny alternative skin? Can you post? Is it pale colouring like most the other shiny beast?

No, it just has the icon - it looks the exact same as the other phoenix

    Pic 1

I liked it... at first. It reminded me of hunting in RDR 2. You gotta nerf this. Phoenix and Graphorns are in Irondale ALL the time. When I first installed this, finding Graphorns and Pheonix was next to impossible but I did find a Pheonix eventually. But after getting the quest to look for Rookwood's Trial, those two beasts spawn in Irondale every time I port over there. Right now, I have 5 Pheonix and 7 Graphorns. I flew around for hours just to find them but towsrds the end of the Fall season, when you het the go ahead to do Rookwood's trial, they will spawn in Irondale, guaranteed. 2 Graphorns will spawn near the windmill, 1 will spawn near the Broom race. 2 Pheonix will spawn there too.

edit: My Vivarium. This took me 10 minutes to do.

Thanks for finding that spot, seems a place where usually a lot of critters spawn. Did think vanilla rarity values are a bit too high, this confirms it, especially in a bug/feature spot that Irondale appears to be. Will fix.

P.S. Did find a graphorn immediately when traveling there.

10/10. Installed and within 20 minutes found a graphorn chillin on the train tracks near the station. Started battling it and during the fight the train came and nearly ran it over. Epic.

Values are probably good as for sure I was lucky. Doubly so since the train was coming at the same time. Haven’t seen another since in that specific area and only one other Graphorn in the mountains towards the south coast. With about  8 hours playing with the mod.Still haven’t seen a Phoenix! :) the hunt  continues!
