i just unzipped the original garonpex, replaced the manifest you provided and zipped it back. deployed it normally through smf and deployed it. i tried 5 suits on multiple maps, everything works great! btw did my amateur mod from last night prompt you to do this? :D my first try, sorry hehe. i removed mine as it was no longer necessary and not to clutter the page. i'm still learning. thank you! have a great day!
I helped Gar0npeX find what the bug was on Discord last year some time. I thought they would update the mod using that info. I kind of forgot about it for a while. I eventually got reminded that there hadn't been an update. So I posted a fixed manifest in the bug reports since comments on the mod were locked. Still never got an update. Yours was already the second suit from the original mod to be reuploaded. I thought I'd save everyone the trouble of waiting around for someone to eventually reup all the suits individually. So... kind of?
All my mods are amateur. It's not like I make a living off of them.
Hey, i used chat gpt to "create" the one i up'd yesterday, so.. :D I do have a question if it's not a problem. As a newbie, it's hard to find certain suit and item id's, as i use https://hitman-resources.netlify.app/quicksearch/h3/ , but i've been told that's out of date. Could you point me in some direction besides check discord? :D Thank You!
There's https://glaciermodding.org/docs/ with a lot of information on tools, etc. The suit modding section has a link to HMBM47's outfit spreadsheet, but it seems a little out of date too. GlacierKit and RPKG Tool can both search the game files. 0057C2C3941115CA contains the unlockable items, and 00204D1AFD76AB13 is the repo for all items.
I received a couple of messages a couple of times regarding how to update the mod, if anything the answer has always been the same: too busy and the interest ain't really there to keep me engaged to update it again, I'm just not playing HITMAN for the time being even thought I might go back to it eventually if I feel like roleplaying as a bald guy again.
I placed all my energy on making outfits for the game and burned myself out so f*#@ing quickly lmao.
I do want to go back to the mod and update it, I hate leaving it in the sorry state it's in right now, I tried updating it a couple of times completely reworking some of the outfits, since the really old ones copy meshes directly from the original files or some stuff is horribly done and could be improved upon.
I'm glad at least people are able to maintain it for me for the time being (however long that is), I immensely appreciate it, I wish I could help out but I forgot most of the important stuff when it comes to modding HITMAN lmao
Doesn't work for me unfortunately, RUST_BACKTRACE error, tried everything I can think of.

Note that I did it the same way as Nehebkau, I could not follow your instructions as SMF wouldn't accept the original Garonpex mod at all but would if I put your manifest in beforehand.
I had the Splinter Cell RPKG mod before and that worked fine (I don't have it installed now, hoping to replace it with this). I don't believe I have any other mods that should clash with this after checking my suit mods.
No such thing as clashing. One will overwrite other depending on load order of your mods. Delete the mod from smf. Copy the mod folder inside the zip from the original mod into your smf mods folder. Overwrite the old manifest with the new one. Open smf and deploy
It's been so long since I used the original manifest for the mod that I'd forgotten SMF won't install it. I usually install mods manually for the first time since it's faster for me anyway.
The steps are usually: when SMF isn't running, extract the original mod folder into SMF's Mods and drop this new manifest file to overwrite the old one in the Gar0npeX Tailor Kit like Tumbler007 said. Since you've already removed the stand-alone Splinter Cell mod, another thing you could try is deleting the cache folder inside the Simple Mod Framework folder then apply the mods.
Thank you for the response but I already tried that too.
However, I have found a workaround, by just manually repackaging the suits I wanted and rewriting the manifests individually using Tumbler's Zebra Suit as a template. Now they deploy through SMF and they all work as they should for me now. Thanks guys!
Just for anyone else with this problem: the only one not working initially (out of the ones I used) was the Splinter Cell suit - maybe I had a leftover from the RPKG somewhere but I could not for the life of me find it. But anyway after trial and error I discovered I could deploy it this way if I removed the dependencies line from the manifest. SO I took the old RPKG file and extracted it with the RPKG Tool and copied all that content in (with the dependency line now removed), might not be the cleanest method but now it works as it should and deploys in SMF properly.
Originally? I put it in runtime manually but I did go and remove it before doing all this. I tried reinstalling through SMF as part of my trial and error and it deployed but did not register in game. Now I'm not using any RPKGs just normal SMF friendly zips.
Ok good. I was just checking. Your bug report info might help me clarify the instructions.
What OS are you using? Win 10, 11, Steam Deck/Linux What store? Steam, Epic, MS What's the total file size for the Gar0npeX Tailor Kit folder once you add this manifest?
Sure, I'm on Win 11, Steam, it's 70.9MB with or without your manifest (unzipped). I'm pretty sure the problem for me and for at least one other it seems, was with those dependencies, possibly clashing with something else that changes them idk? That fixed for me anyway.
I've never had to do that workaround with deleting dependencies from the manifest to deploy the suits. I thought maybe it was that Splinter Cell suit's chunk0patch55.rpkg still in the Runtime folder or SMF's mods, but you said you couldn't find it there.
Could it be the load order? I had to put Misc Outfit Mesh and Texture fixes near the top when I used it, then Glove Mod, Accessory Mod, then things like Gar0npeX Tailor Kit.
Possibly, I do have some other clothing mods including misc fixes, but I already have that near the top as you suggest. Tbh I really don't know what was wrong, I'm not exactly an expert with all this, all I know is what I did fixed it.
Update: apparently what I did here did not entirely work. While it did change all the suits I wanted, it seems as though it has somehow applied the entire garonpex kit -- my Futo suit has been replaced with the tracksuit even though I don't have this anywhere (I don't have the full kit installed now, just the separate suits that I installed manually so I have no idea how this has happened) and I have a ninja suit mod installed above it which should overwrite it anyway in theory? I'm very confused by this... but I'm going to try your bug fix installation again because clearly I did something wrong somewhere... Edit: Again it will deploy correctly, but not with the splinter cell suit. I'll keep fiddling... Edit 2: I've decided to just not use the splinter cell suit with this pack and use the standalone RPKG mod again as that works for me.
are you using any mod that changes that suit (like Custom Suit Improvements or Glove and Accessory Mod)? If that suit is changed in those, it will clash and fail to deploy (as far as i know)
I only meant to refer to not installing this mod using SMF's drag and drop or Add Mod features. That'd likely result in an error or deleting the contents of the original mod. Once the manifest has been replaced, Gar0npeX Tailor Kit still needs to be Applied like other SMF mods. I'll take a look at clarifying the directions more when I have time.

Your instructions conflicts with your manifest injection tho
