Wish you could freely swap weapons without having to bring up your inventory? Want a more immersive experience in firefights? Then this mod is for you.

To quick switch into a weapon, you first "set" a weapon/item by double tapping the shoulder swap key. Once you switch to a different item in your inventory, you can press the shoulder swap button 2x again to swap back into the original set item. Pressing the shoulder button consecutively will essentially allow you to quickly switch back and forth between two items.

Notes:

Tested a number of triggers for the quick switch but found the shoulder swap the most natural one.

The shoulder switch button must be pressed two times, that's just how the game registers it.

The switch should not occur during cover or when aiming.

There is a very small cool-down when swapping.

Double tapping shoulder swap while holding a briefcase will retrieve the item inside it.

Probably rare, but If the switch stops working, pausing and unpausing the game should fix it.

Tried to get quick conceal working (double tap to conceal current held item) but was not able to figure it out. Should be doable as its done in freelancer with large items.

Known issues:
Quick swap will not work when you are carrying a briefcase, as the action is designated to retrieve the concealed weapon.
The set item will reset if item is dropped, removed from inventory.
There may be potential conflict with the use of the shoulder swap function, although I tried to minimize it.
