This is so great to have! Have you ever considered placing the cases somewhere else? The floor clutter is getting real with all these additional briefcases.
Maybe the briefcases in the wardrobes can be removed and replaced? There is also some open shelf space that could work in there, and some empty space on the table near the gear cases and security monitors.
Yeah, I strongly considered all those options. Aside from being a pain in the butt to place on my end, it would get cramped pretty quickly. I picked the space behind the planning table because it's expansive enough to separate out each briefcase for unambiguous selection, while being conveniently close but out of the way so the main mission-planning process doesn't feel littered.
Urban should be called the Aluminum Briefcase. I'll be addressing that in the upcoming patch where I fix the problem with the default briefcase. Black Leather is the default leather briefcase, I believe. The "Leather Briefcase" is a reddish briefcase that is only found in-game, such as in the office in Miami. (If this is wrong, someone please correct me.)
The Hunter's Briefcase comes with the Deluxe Pack. It's unlocked by completing the entire Percival Passage escalation (but I don't check all that in this mod, just whether you own the DLC).
The Urban Briefcase is basically Mk III of the Aluminum Briefcase with Hitman 3 location stickers on it. There's also another Aluminum Briefcase with Hitman 2 location stickers. (Shameless plug for DERP that already has options to rename all 3 more consistently.)
The Black Leather Briefcase is the reward for completing 12 campaign missions with a Sniper Assassin rank (The Classics challenges in H2). So far, the only official uses of the brown Leather Briefcase are the ones placed in the maps as you said and one carried by the lawyer in Mendoza.
Heads up: selecting the default ICA briefcase is currently BROKEN. You will not spawn in the level with a briefcase if you choose the default one. This will be fixed soon!
I'll definitely look into setting up the auto-updates, I think SMF makes it simple. I'm pretty sure it'll require one more manual download from you guys though, since the mod's config is what triggers the auto update.
Yeah, I have to add each briefcase manually and don't want to add briefcases yet that not everyone has paid for. They will be added at some point though!
"At some point" is once IOI stops releasing DLC and/or I am able to properly process the entitlements. This may have changed with the most recent patch, but I haven't forgotten, it's just that the lifecycle of this game has been extended literal years past what everyone anticipated.
I considered putting the briefcases on the shelves back when I first made this mod, but it would be cluttered, relatively unusable, and a massive pain to adjust. Since you're so interested though, I recommend https://glaciermodding.org/. You can create your own mods to your heart's content.
Thanks alot. Carrying a briefcase even empty in the missions to extract a gun makes so much sense and the options to choose is great as well. Altough i wish there were more briefcases, or if you could choose from a menu of your briefcases. Maybe thats a possibility for peacock only? Also i wonder if you can just add any item to the safehouse to bring with you in missions. Id really like to see mixtape 47. Thanks alot for the great mod
Did you ever consider placing the collection of cases in 47's basement wardrobe? There is a dedicated space for his cases included in the game assets. It would be so cool if one could chooses the appropriate case from where the suit is chosen and complete the look so conveniently. If it is possible, please place them there! And please add all the varieties of cases that are available. It appears that there is space for at least 16 cases there. It also appears that there is space for 24 cases on the shelves of 47's bedroom wardrobe as well. It would be fun to see the entire collection at once in one area and make that room a little more interesting and useful. Thank you for the mod. I bring a case on most missions! :)
I really like this mod, well executed idea. I'm hoping for better options though, 80% of the current briefcases are a complete bore next to the Sieger 300 Briefcase.
Some suggestions:
- Arctic Toolbox - Golden Briefcase - Hunter's Briefcase - Premiere White Briefcase
Thank you for this mod, it's great. It opens up even more of the versatility of tactics in freelancer mode. I find myself often taking a case along on a mission. I hope you will make as many of the various cases available as possible. I love to mix up my loadout!

Thank you!

Also, LuxManifestus made a really good suggestion about the briefcase placement, it's too bad you're not interested.
