This mod is bad. The good news is that it's fixable. The bad news is that it's so bad that it's beyond fixing.
As I mentioned, I'm a huge fan of IO Interactive's HITMAN series. So when IO Interactive announced that they were going bankrupt, I was crushed. That meant I was going to miss out on my next playthrough of HITMAN 2.
My favourite thing about the game series is how nuanced it is, but this new mod for HITMAN 3 has ruined the whole experience. So the mod is called Sniper Co-Op, and it's pretty simple. It allows players to play as a sniper in multiplayer, rather than taking on the role of the more traditional venting imposter.
The game plays with a rather clever idea where there are "primary actions", and "support actions". In a way, it's similar to Splinter Cell Blacklist, but it does away with the artificial difficulty and is also complete garbage. The main reason for this utter failure is that the entire multiplayer game is centered around the middle-finger gesture. I mean, it's not that I'm opposed to games with "aesthetic touchstones", but the really bizarre thing about this is that it's completely devoid of any kind of narrative connection to the previous games. I was expecting something that was inspired by the original, not this.
Ultimately, this mod's developer should be put in jail, because this mod is as malicious as it is obscene.
you said before that it works with the demo. my peacock doesnt work with the demo for some reason, can you provide some kind of guide? not necessary, youre not peacock support, just a request of course.
It is(/was?) for the people who owned H2 on steam and migrated their levels into h3, but that isn't available nowadays so the support for the demo was never added into peacock. I do have demo support available on my fork of peacock, but it still requires owning the levels to play them, and since you can't buy the h2 maps seperately it's rather redundant unless you already migrated your maps.
To this day, it is sad that this part of Sniper Assassin was never ported; meanwhile, the single player portion is in the game. Also, I still wish for some form of official co-op modes in general, which IOI won't ever do and I know. ;-;
