UPDATE: The Freelancer Variations SDK mod has been replaced by Mission Companion mod, a single SDK mod for all my mods (FV, Random ToDs, Real Yacht, etc). Delete Freelancervariations.dll and grab that instead.
BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING
I will not be replying to comments that haven't read this post.
I only get vanilla/normal variants! = The SDK mod (Mission Companion) is not active, or you have really bad luck on the random rolls
Hawke's Bay loads me into Ambrose = The MissionCompanion/Peacock Plugin is not active, or you haven't picked the correct SMF option
I get a crash any time it's a non-vanilla variant! = The SMF mod is not deployed
I get a crash on SOME modded variants, others are fine = Make sure you have the SMF version of all variants you want deployed. Hantu Port requires a separate mod. If you don't want these options make sure you deactivate them with the variant picker website so the game doesn't try to load them. If this is not your issue then write down what you think the crashed variant is and report it to me here. If Romania crashes you probably have a suit mod on, and require the Signature Suit Untouchable 1.1 mod to fix it.
I don't get the SDK menu at all to enable the mod = If it doesn't show when you hit the ~ button then that's an SDK issue, I don't have the answers to them. But you can manually add the mod to SDK via the "mods.ini" file in Retail folder. Simply add "[freelancervariations]" to the bottom line then hit save
RUST_BACKTRACE error = Unknown issue. Try 1) putting exception for SMF in your antivirus, 2) Verifying your game files before deploying, and/or 3) Reinstalling game. If that doesn't work, I cannot help you.
Lighting Ultimate Incompatibility: The creator of LU recently updated their mod to accommodate this mod, I think only a small handful of Season 1 LU options will cause an error (The Author, The Vector?) but let me know if they're still happening.

A beta version of Passenger Train variants is now live. By default they start on in Colorado on variant website. You can use the variant picker website to put it on New York or Hawke's Bay instead. To account for Romania, Colorado and New York now have their alerted bricks disabled, which means no extra cameras and guards on those maps (Although New York's alerted brick didn't do much besides remove some free keycards laying about).
There is no Syndicate Showdown available for Passenger Train at this stage due to various reasons which I hope are overcome this year some point. I might be able to pull together a kinda shitty version of a Showdown if I tried, but for now I'll wait until I can do something better. Like I said it's in beta so expect this release to have issues, including ones which simply cannot be fixed without an improvement in modding tools, such as crashes I believe happen when there's chaos and suddenly NPCs try to go from one side of the train to the other (It seems to have issues with NPCs walking long distances in a single direction on this map).

That's weird, that error only occurs if another mod does the same thing as my mod. But the only other mod you've got on does not. Makes no sense. Can only suggest deleting cache folder and trying again
thanks so much for making this i love it so much. i don't know if you still update it but on sapienza night showdown (the author probably) i started leaning on a fence and was spotted by a lookout before i could even leave the cutscene. that was frustrating but a small price to pay, just wanted to make sure it was on whatever dream list of future fixes u might have. thanks again for your hard work!
Hmm, that's weird. A rare situation, haven't come across it in my years so far. I assumed if you start 'blending in' leaning you can't be spotted but I guess not. I'm not sure I can come up with a solution to this one sorry, just have to try your luck
Is it possible to add the Splitter variation for Chongqing? I really love the map changes in that variation (as there are a lot of changes) Thank you in advance!

Potential issues in deployment no matter what i do. Mission campanion says it cant find the freelancer json file in the mods folder even though it is absolutely in there. No idea what to do. Can you put up a precise step by step video tutorial? Followed the steps in your mod description multiple times and it always results in the same bug.
Hi, the mod is amazing I just have this issue that ambrose island runs very poorly at times of day that are not vanilla. All the other variations work fine though.
Hey, I need help please. I already deployed several times before successfully. It started to happen when I tried to deploy with "Welcome To Cuba". And now it will not work with or without the mod. I already deleted the cache and it did not help. It is quite frustrating because I already played a bit with the mod and it was great.

It seemed to fail while deploying Marrakesh files so don't think it's related to Welcome To Cuba. Sadly I have no idea what it means so I definitely don't know a solution
Update: Restarted my PC and deployed with the the glove mods, Freelancer Variations and Passenger Train and now it worked. No idea why but it is enough for me.
*crickets* Yeah wondering about this too, seems to be a comment one would make if they installed the mod after the most recent game update and it worked. Either way, seems to be complete radio silence on what is happening
i use peacock and mine works still, if anyone is using the sdk version it's probably the sdk that needs to be updated usually freelancer variations still works after updates
