    Locked
    Sticky
    Version 1.5.1 is Now Available

    • Thanks to VoodooHillbilly, the unlock option for Subject 47 will now be compatible with any other mods that edit offline unlockables. However, a clean install is required, so please make sure to delete the mod using SMF's Delete button before updating to 1.5.1. The good news is that the mod now supports update checking, so no more clean installs will be required going forward. You'll be able to update the mod directly in SMF.
    • It looks like IOI added wet logic to Subject 47 with the May 11th update, so every option has been remade to include it. 47 will now glisten in the rain.
    • Added options that will only modify the original Subject 47 without replacing any suits. Please note that these options will only be usable outside of Carpathian Mountains if the unlock option is enabled and you're playing in offline mode.
    • The manifest now uses semver, so you can add the mod to SMF normally again.
    • Added The Gauze Suit as a replacement option.

It's not working for me. I put the mod in the simple mod framework and it is not replacing any of the suits. I have the subject 47 suit but it still has the EKG. I'm just so confused.

Can you add an option to replace the gauze suit with subject 47 since gauze is basically subject 47 but with bandages?

Sure, makes sense. I've just uploaded v1.5.0, which includes The Gauze Suit as a replacement option.

Of course! What's strange is that they also added wet logic to The Gauze Suit, but the results are virtually identical to my experiments back in November, where the head and pants get wet but the torso stays bone-dry. Yet Subject 47, which is normally locked to a level without rain, has fully functional wet logic that includes the torso.

Maybe they're planning to make Subject 47 unlockable at some point?

      Interesting indeed.

I was wondering if its possible to add the effect of vanilla ''rain ripples'' that are flowing from 47 head and also his tactical wetsuit torso for example, to also his torso.

Currently Subject 47 has it only enabled on his head, and it looks a bit strange that it cuts off around his neck. Thanks again.

I completely agree, and that's exactly what I was trying to do originally. But after spending many hours pouring over the material for the Neon City Suit's coat, it just wasn't happening. I can kind of see how the effect is being applied, but I can't apply it to a texture/material that doesn't already support it. The coat and 47's head both have their own dedicated materials for this stuff, but while standard wet logic is already quite complex, the raindrop effect is on another level entirely. It may be technically possible, but if it is, it's currently beyond my abilities, I'm afraid.

To my knowledge, the raindrop effect is only available on the Neon City Suit's coat and 47's head (I checked both wetsuits in Chongqing, but they only seem have the "shininess" on the torso), which leads me to believe it's not exactly easy to work with :) After all, if even IOI didn't add it to Subject 47, I'm not sure I'll much luck at this point, unfortunately.

    That's a nice mod! 2 questions tho:
    1) Could You please include option to just remove ekg from vanilla subject 47, not as a replacer for other suits,
    2) Do You take mod requests? I mean similar stuff like this mod or your glove mods/suit retextures? There aren't many cosmetic mods (or any kind, compared to other popular games) for Hitman 3 to tailor player's experience to personal liking.

      1) Any modifications included with a suit swap are also applied to the original Subject 47, but since there's an unlock option now, I can certainly understand why you'd prefer not to replace anything. So, I'll be sure to include a replacement-free section in the next update (which will be out as soon as the wet effect is complete). In the meantime, here's a modified version. I've replaced all the Signature Suit options with a "Vanilla Subject 47 Edits" section, so these options will only edit Subject 47.
      2) Sure. I usually post requests here in the comments section if they're relatively straightforward. Let me know what you're looking for, and I'll see what I can do.

      Thanks! About the request:

      • Midnight black suit edit: the suit jacket and pants are rather very dark blue if you look at it from the right angle with the right lighting while the shirt is black. Also the inside texture of the jacket has reddish material. An edit for the entire outfit to be just mono black would be nice (maybe also version with black aviator glasses like italian suit perhaps?)
      • Ashen suit replacer: wanna use a suit of choice in dubai but with skydiving default entrance - a toggleable function to swap for edited midnight suit and/or other suits? ;)
      • Tactical gear & variants: overall turn it into more mono black textures
      • You've noticed the pattern by now: I like black clothing (with silver details) so in similar fashion, a variant of everyone's worst nightmare: signature suit would be nice ;)
      • Midnight black suit with arkian tuxedo's mask/white eyes mask: Why not bring your favorite suit to the masquerade?
      • monoblack summer sightseeing suit with toggleable accessories
      • monoblack imperial classic
      • mono smart casual suit: I know you've made a mod that swaps it with retextured raver, but the smart coat is slimmer which imo looks better

I am aware this might be too much to ask so treat these as suggestions. There isn't a lot of full black clothing for 47, and even if there are some exceptions, they are not fully black (midnight suit/ultimate black suit) ;)

That is, indeed, quite a lot to ask ;) Fortunately, most of what you're looking for is possible via colour overrides, so I simply went through and changed all the colour overrides for those suits to black. You can grab the mod here. Not everything could be changed solely via colour overrides, though, and the red lining on the Midnight Black Suit's jacket is one example. Also, since what you're looking for sounds fairly specific, you'll probably want to adjust the colour overrides to your personal preference. I'll DM you a quick tutorial on how to do so.

As for Dubai, you're saying you want to start at the skydiving entrance but have it switch to the Midnight Black Suit instead of the Ashen Suit when you pass through the curtains? I mean, it may be possible to edit that directly, or the Skydiving Suit on the rack, but it's admittedly a pretty niche use case when you can already start in the atrium lobby with any suit you like :)

Anyway, I've included a toggle that swaps the Ashen Suit with the modified Midnight Black Suit, which will give you the functionality you're looking for at the cost of replacing the Ashen Suit. However, the Midnight Black Suit isn't really "compatible" with that entrance anyway, as you can see here. You can fix the suit jacket by switching to the Skydiving Suit (or any other suit) and then back to the "Ashen Suit." Of course, that's not really ideal, but if you need to use the skydiving entrance in this scenario, it's about the best we can do for now.

The wetness effect isn't included in v1.3 as it's not quite finished yet, but I'm planning to release another update as soon as it's complete. 47's pants and head now get properly wet, so I just need to figure out a way to add the raindrop effect to his arms and torso, but I think that should be possible by emulating the Neon City Suit's coat in some way.

Thank you so much! Always wanted that :)
I found it odd that this costume doesn’t have wet effect (like when you are in Chongqing) unlike other outfits including Futo, but otherwise perfect!

You're very welcome! As for the wet effect, I completely agree. In all honesty, I did plan on including wet logic, but try as I might, I couldn't quite wrap my head around it :) But if/when I'm able to crack the code (or an enterprising modder out there can help me realize that goal), I'll be sure to include it.

      Sounds good!! :)
by the way, I think yesterday’s game update broke the Simple Mod Framework, I can’t seem to load any mods anymore, it fails to deploy… is it possible to have this one as RPKG also (my RPKG mods still work) while the SMF gets updated?

Certainly, I'll just need to convert them. I'll post a link here as soon as it's done.

It sounds like the SMF update will probably be out sometime tomorrow, so we should be back in business fairly soon.

No problem, one RPKG-only version coming right up :)

The only downside is that the EKG-less options aren't working in Carpathian Mountains (the game will crash when trying to load the map). I was able to fix this in the SMF version, but when I manually package it as an RPKG, neither that fix nor the alternative fixes I tried seem to work. But it should work everywhere else, at least as a stopgap measure until SMF is updated. And once that's out, I'm also planning on releasing an update that'll allow you to change the sound of the footsteps to bare feet (which was a great suggestion by DisturbedMoron).

The version with modified footsteps is now up. The wet logic will probably still be awhile. Actually, I might need to take a bit of a break from modding in general, but I hope to be back as soon as possible.

Good call Chucky, that works perfectly. Thanks! I guess the only downside to editing globaldata.brick is that I'd need to use a patch rather than a self-contained JSON, so that would increase the deploy time quite a bit, but I can always include both options in the next update.

Hmm, I'm afraid I haven't been able to reproduce this. Using the release available here, the "Remove EKG" option for the Futo Suit is working for me. So, let's see if we can pinpoint the issue:

      - Is it just the "Remove EKG" option for the Futo Suit that doesn't work, or the "Default" option as well?
      - Are the other suit replacement options also nonfunctional (Signature, Lynch, and Freedom Phantom)?
      - If you load into Carpathian Mountains, are the changes reflected there?
      - Are you using any other mods (especially suit replacement mods)? If so, which ones? And does the issue persist if only this mod is enabled?
