You mean while using instinct? While not using instinct, there's an in-game option to turn it off: Options > Gameplay > General > Camera Grid

That setting was in Hitman 2016 and never went away. Unlike Hitman 3's poison smoke, they actually made that sort of thing optional back then. Anyway, not sure what would be involved in removing it while using instinct, but I'll look into that.

Not sure if it makes me feel better or worse, but thanks for confirming I'm not the only one. I can't use my own sound mods either.

I narrowed it down to the most recent Simple Mod Framework updates. That's the only thing that changed, but I uninstalled and cleanly reinstalled Hitman 3 just to make sure. I already posted about it on the SMF page. Haven't heard anything back yet.

Edit: I found my old original framework download, and my sound mods work fine in that. If you still have yours, that's one solution.

The latest Simple Mod Framework update (1.5.5) fixes this. Just confirmed.

Are you importing it using the Simple Mod Framework? Just click on the "Import Framework ZIP" button and browse to the downloaded mod .zip file. Once it's imported, click on the "+ Enable" button next to it, and then click the "Apply Enabled Mods" button. You should be all set after that.

The problem must be something on your end. I just deleted the mod on mine, re-downloaded it from here, imported it, and tested it. It's definitely working for me.

It's hard to say why it wouldn't be working on yours without more info. I guess it could be a conflict with another mod. Have any RPKG-based mods outside of the Simple Mod Framework?

Sorry to hear that. If reinstalling Hitman 3 didn't work, you could try reinstalling the latest version of the Simple Mod Framework next. For both, I would uninstall them, delete any files that might be left over, and then cleanly reinstall them. Beyond that, I'm sadly out of ideas.

You could try downloading the mod again too. Maybe it got corrupted the first time?

Always glad to help out! I just posted the mod in RPKG format in the "Miscellaneous Files" section. I doubt you'll have any problems using it that way. Enjoy! :)

That is so weird!! One last thing you could try: If you're using any other sound mods (like my "Immersive Sound" mod), you could go into the Simple Mod Framework's "Mods" folder, copy the contents of this mod, paste it into the other mod (keeping the same folder structure and without overwriting anything), and deploy it that way. If the other mod works for you, it makes absolutely no sense that this solution wouldn't.

Yeah, that's a new one. I only started modding Hitman a month ago, but I've seen a whole lot. And this mod is so simple...

The only sort of similar thing I've seen is with Time Of Day Changes (an amazing mod). My Sapienza has been stubbornly stuck at nighttime, despite making no sense at all. I haven't tried that hard to fix it though. I prefer nighttime. :P

Anyway, I'll let you know if I can figure this out.

Only solution I think is to include this mod in like Immersive Sound mod ,??

If you already tried this, I doubt it'll be any different. But just in case, I posted a merge of both mods as an optional file on the Immersive Sound page (since that's like 90% of the muted sounds). We ruled out RPKG format already, so I only posted a SImple Mod Framework version. Good luck!

Sorry to hear that! I've seen some strange things modding Hitman, but this is definitely the strangest. At this point, you'd probably need to reformat or get a new computer to fix it! I'll keep thinking though. Maybe with more experience, I'll figure something out.

I see that your mods are focusen on realism and immersion (all are great), have you in your plans to release one day a first person mod?

That's actually an interesting question. Putting aside the technical challenges, which are pretty huge, my mods have really been focused on restoring the realism and immersion of Hitman games before Hitman 3 (not counting Absolution).

That said, being able to switch to first person isn't new to Hitman. You can't do it in Hitman 2016 or Hitman 2, but Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (I really wish they hadn't started the numbers over) added that as a feature. It even stuck around for Contracts and Blood Money. However, especially in Blood Money, it was kind of lame. That's probably why they dropped it in Hitman 2016.

I'd be interested in trying to bring it back one day, but I'm nowhere near skilled enough right now. I'll keep it in mind though.

You're doing it fantastic pal, i know that I'm not the only one that appreciate your work. The first person mods like in resident evil 2, ghost recon Wildlands, the Witcher 3 etc. Are just amazing, i can imagine how hitman 3 could be with a such mod, if you succees you're will become a freaking God dude. Thanks for your mods, i will start tracking your work.
