   Can you make this compatible with Simple Mod Framework? That would be great.

      I believe you can just install it into Simple Mod Framework as is?
      These are simple .PRIM (3d model) replacements. There is no scripting involved.

   I'm curious, does this unlock the shortcuts that haven't been unlocked prior to installation? If it doesn't unlock them, can they still be unlocked without the yellow brackets?

      This mod just replaces the yellow bracket 3d models to make them invisible. 
      In no way does it modify any aspect of how the shortcut doors or ladders work.

   This is excellent, always looked out of place to me.
