this is a really cool mod except for the increased number of rounds in the standard type of clip. I opened the archive with quickbms edited the REPO and then put all the files in one folder which I packed with ZHM5PatchBuilder.exe The game did not see the archive.. Then I downloaded ZHM5PatchBuilder.exe from another place and again packed - the result is the same. Then I just unpacked your archive and immediately packed it back to check-the archive was not read. Please tell me what the problem may be. Or maybe you could add a realistic version of the mod-with 7 rounds in the clip? I could throw off your edited REPO which removed "extendedmag" and added initialmagazines: 5.0 instead of 2.0 . Or I can remind you of the line numbers in Notepad++ of your weapon: 68763 103795 169336 229537 . Thank you in advance
I've been enjoying the look and feel of the guns, but I was wondering if it would be possible to tweak some of the damage values. I extracted the rpkg file and changed a few things, but I can't seem to find a tool that will let be repackage it correctly. the only one I found will work, but only for the REPO files - it doesn't work for the REPO and GFXI files in one archive. I made a chunk0patch6 with just the tweaked REPO and tried to load it after this mod, but none of the values changed. Any suggestions?
I repacked with "ZHM5PatchBuilder" if I remember correctly. I put all files (.GFXI, .REPO) directly in a "chunk0patch5" folder which I packed. Sorry if I can't detail more than that, but I've recently been modding several games from Assassin's Creed Odyssey to Jedi Fallen Order, and my memory is a bit hazy about Hitman modding :/
I really like these guns, they look very nice. Would love to see more if you can do it, like the "glock" inspired handgun in this game with a suppressor. However, I dont understand how this conflicts with improved mk 2, is it only one item or several? Can you make a version with fewer guns that doesnt conflict?
Hi! Glad you like them. Alas, I'm currently lacking free time so I won't be able to work on more guns for the moment.
As for the reason why it conflicts with Improved MK2, it's simple. Guns and items aren't set in separate files, but all in the same .repo file. Both this mod and Improved MK2 modify this same .repo file... so they conflict.
Hey, I really love the look of these weapons, I was wondering if you could upload a file that only changes the textures so that It could be used without being online I would really appreciate it. All the Best! hope you're doing well in these strange times
Thanks, glad you like them! I haven't researched texture modding, so I'm not sure to what extent this could be done without messing up other weapons' appearance. I'll have a look when I get the chance.
Absolutely, I really appreciate the work and hope something can be figured out, I love hitman 2 but some of the items (the guns in particular) look very samey in Vanilla, here's a mod that managed to do exactly what I'm talking about if you can find any use from it https://www.nexusmods.com/hitman2/mods/44
The guns indeed look "samey", actually because they're using the same "base", with different combination of parts, attachements, and materials. (for example, the Concept 5 pistol and the HWK 21 guns are actually using the same base, but with different parts. Technically you could create your own frankenstein gun, which I did for this mod)
As for the mod your linked, this was a 3D model import, which replaces the 3D model of another gun (without affecting stats, mag size, performance, etc). I also don't have the skills to create custom 3D models.
You need to extract the files from the .rar with a software like WinRAR (it's free) to your ..steam\steamapps\common\HITMAN2\Runtime\ folder. Finally, you'll need to launch your game in offline mode. When connected, the server will override the mod.
Do note that some other mods will conflict with this one, such as the 'Improved MK2 Items' mod or the 'ICA 19 Silverballer without Suppressor' mod.
