Changes spellbooks of creature casters for an immersive and balanced experience where casters can turn the tide of battle, instead of their spells never being used!

- New Spells
This mod alters almost every caster-creature's spellbook (like those of the Inquisitor or Shadow Mistress) to include greater number of spells that are also stronger, making spellcasting more useful in late game and more intimidating early on or against neutral creatures.
To this effect, mana pools have been also altered, while the choice of spells was made with regard to immersion and visual appeal. Many of the new spells are mass effect versions of their standard spells, which makes the casters more useful, but not overpowered.
For instance, instead of Suffering (Advanced level), Archlich now wields Mass Suffering (Basic level). Another example: Earth Daughter gains Earthquake, while Pit Spawn gains Implosion, utilising a visual effect previously unused in the game (since Pit Spawn had no spells).


- Gameplay Changes
Small changes were made to the attributes and abilities of several creatures, which I deem completely necessary for a more overall balanced and interesting gameplay. In 10 years of playing this game, Necropolis was always at a disadvantage, for example, with their champion creature being annihilated by any other champion creature, regardless of their numbers. So, Spectral Dragons get a slight buff in their stats, while Ghost Dragons finally gain incorporeality, like actual ghosts. There is only several of these changes, therefore, there will not be a version without them.
The mod has gone through several iterations, mainly with changes regarding balance and immersion (hence version 2.0), however, this is the first time it is published online.
- Installation and requirements
Requires the latest version of Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East.
Copy the extracted file into the "data" folder where the game is installed. To uninstall, just delete the file. It will not corrupt a save file since all changes take effect during combat during which you cannot save anyway.
Note that since it is a .pak file that goes into the data folder, it may be incompatible with other mods that change creatures.
