Will you update the mod for the current version? the new Borderline Justice warbond update ruins mods and I'm not sure if your mod is playable currently. Can you check pls.
Any ideas on why this crashes on start no matter what I do? Tried manual, mod manager, putting it into a different zip, moving it to a whole new folder and nothing but crashing. Help would be really appreciated
Doesn't seem to work with the mod manager. Downloaded a later version too still doesn't seem to work. Kills the game and wont run it. I've cleared the other mods and such as well and redownloaded the files 3 times the game and this mod. Still get a run application error.
I tested it and it works fine with the mod manager.
The downloaded file is just a .zip with the .patch files. When installing you just need to restructure it.
Demonstration: 1) Download the .zip 📦Commander Cody-720-CC-2224-1731267877.zip L📄patchfile1 L📄patchfile2 L📄patchfile3
2) Extract the zip into a folder, let's call it CommanderCody. 📁Commander Cody L📄patchfile1 L📄patchfile2 L📄patchfile3
3) Compress to zip so that the folder containing the patch files will be inside the zipped folder. 📦FS-05-BODY+Helmet.zip L📁Commander Cody L📄patchfile1 L📄patchfile2 L📄patchfile3
4) Add the file to the mod manager. Make sure "Commander Cody" folder is selected in the dropdown menu.
5) Click "Deploy".
6) Launch the game. The Democracy Officer should now be model swapped.
If this doesn't work, hard purge, fresh reinstall / clean install helldivers 2 and start over from scratch.
I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've made the files but the drop down window doesn't show when I place into the mod manger? I followed your guide, what order should the "patch" be placed? I've done something similar with the ODST mods. I just don't understand why it doesn't wanna run mod. I've made sure the Cody mod was the only mod installed as well. still getting launch errors. ive been at this for hours lmfao i got off work at 7pm. Anything will help I appreciate it.
Unless there's something I have to do something with the patch code itself, I have no idea why it doesn't wanna work. I even got the drop down window to work. I've purged and re installed as well.
Alright so I went to the ODST files and grabbed the commander file there. I did the process and the game launched and the mod was implemented. Id would really appreciate if anyone can help on why this issue might be happening.
SolasWolff, do you have discord? If so dm me on nexus with your username and we can talk more because I’d like to figure out what problem your having. I won’t be available for about a week but I want to try and see what the problem is.
It might have to do with the size of the model. When swapping between other very high poly models, the game has a tendency to crash. I've only ever noticed with some armor mods, but maybe having the Cody model loaded in the whole time causes too much stress and achieves the same effect.
Uninstalling mods, Verifying installed files via steam and then re-installing fixed it for me - Which implies it is an issue on our end, rather than a problem with the mod itself.
The mod does use 4k textures, so that might be a problem and explain why it isn’t able to load on certain machines. Other then that I’m not too sure why this could be happening, sorry I haven’t been able to look into it deeper, I might be able to soon.
full disclaimer many other mods also use 4k textures so it’s a bit of a stretch for an explanation.
