Maybe i'm doing something wrong, but i go from 120FPS to 78FPS using this preset. It even goes lower, to 60-62 on missions. I'm at 4K, maxed out, DLSS Balanced with a 4070ti + Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
it says error and couldnt load? all the presets load in, yeah but it doesnt come with the options enabled and since this was working the day I downloaded now its not.
TAA blur can't be removed with sharpening. That lost detail can't be brought back only the illusion of it + it does nothing to combat temporal motion blurring / smearing, only stationary.
I respect the effort though, but I just need to make this clear. If this really bothers people they should disable TAA & all sharpening (since sharpening with no AA looks gross since the image is already sharp) and from there if you have performance to spare super-sampling is recommended
Tested this out and its not bad. But getting alot of flashing on screen at times. It flashes and almost seems like the reshade preset flickers in and out. (On and off then back on again) Also, in areas that are real dark and casted in shadow, it seems like an ambient occlusion effect bleeds through and is very visible in the cracks and crevices of things. Like on the player character and in the armor for exmple
Did you use the "Addon" version of ReShade when installing it? If so, don't. I think that version is only meant for single player games and can cause complications in online ones
I heard the same. That it has hard deep encrypted protection so if you modify the files at all, you're done. Banned. Not sure which mods would work then and which wouldn't
Launchpad isn't necessary... sharpening, AA, and AO aren't using it. All it's doing is adding ~1ms to frame times gathering unused depth data.
Also, Immersive MXAO has practically no meaningful effect on the game... just look at the debug mode and you'll see it does next to nothing.
Immersive Sharpen is okay, but Adaptive Sharpen works better here... or better yet, Clarity
You should be telling people to turn off in game AA if your using SMAA... though I'd argue the in game TAA does a better job, but that's just my opinion.
I definitely notice a difference quite a big difference with MXAO, I tried both versions available and this one looked better to me.
Launchpad, I didn't really know to be honest I just thought it was a requirement, will update that with it disabled. I noticed better visual clarity without much performance degradation for SMAA+TAA. I first tried to disable TAA altogether and use SMAA+FXAA but it didn't look better than the games AA, at all. The TAA implementation isn't really that bad compared to some games and it looked a bit clearer with SMAA+TAA.
As for sharpening,I figured most people enable sharpening effects in their graphics card control panels so I went for something not too strong. The entire preset is designed to not be too much different to the games vision. If you have a preference, then I suggest to configure your own.
Regular MXAO is overly aggressive and doesn't really look right. They both also have a really big problem in that they are screen space solutions. So, when there's any type of fog/smoke (really any semi transparency effects) the AO is drawn on top of them because it has no concept of it. Even when using depth info, smoke isn't geometry and isn't recognized.
Clarity works differently than sharpening and should be added for improved image quality, though it is a heavier shader, but it's worth the frame loss with a decent card. In game sharpening, even at 100, is pretty minimal.

Don't know what is going on tbh.
