How to use: Simply double click the .bat file to run the script. You can run the file from anywhere on your pc. A command window will appear detailing the items cleaned.
I personally keep the .bat on my desktop. If there are any other issues with that though, please let me know.
In regards to your second issue, possibly... I can't guarantee it will fix all of your flickering issues, but it might help. I know for me I still suffer from those issues from time to time. That could just be a shader issue on the devs, or a problematic setting in your games graphics settings, etc, etc. Just play around with all the options at your disposal.
Yes and No. Currently it doesn't clear the AMD cache folder, but I may change that in the future. However, it will still work in the sense that it clears your Helldivers 2 Shader Cache folder.
Edit: I don't have an AMD card, but I just updated the .bat to (hopefully) work with AMD. Please download and run it, and let me know if it tells you whether or not it deleted anything from your AMD cache folders.
I didn't know there was another version on Nexus. Regardless, their version looks like its a bit more of an intensive script that you need to run through Windows PowerShell, in which it will then forever run upon each startup. Mines only runs when you run the .bat file. Their version also works for AMD cards, but mine currently does not, I might change this later. My version also cleans the d3dcache folder, which I do not believe their version does. Honestly they both achieve a very similar thing, and most importantly they both clear the HD2 Shader Cache, its really preference for which one you like more.
Edit: Just updated the .bat to (hopefully) work with AMD aswell...
Sent it to get review. Not super sure why it would get quarantine, its just a small .bat file with easy to read code, just deletes to shader folders. Either way I'll post a way to make the file yourself.
