This mod is pure genius. It addresses the major flaw in these underexploited schemes. Thank you so much.
However, could you create a variation of this mod in which the mine beams are smaller? And with less flashy colors? That would be more consistent with the game's lore and less intrusive :)
I think it ruins the fun in the game. Arrowhead allowed mods that dont bring a unfair advantage to the game and this exactly does it. You spot mines so easy which that mod which ruins them over all. I dont suggest to download this mod.
Does that mean people with normal eyesight have an unfair advantage over those who have poor vision? What about mines that are sunken into the terrain and can't be seen? Is that fair?
Is it the fault of the game developers that some people have rather poor vision while some dont? and what about enemys in the distance? do we turn them building tall now? and can you confirm that all the people downloading have a poor vision? Some people will abuse these mods and thats why they shouldnt exist. I am sorry to people who have poor vision but giving them a advantage like shining beams. About the "sunken into terrain" this is a game and of course these games have their flaws, i watched inferno mines turn invisible in front of my eyes. They didnt got burried, they were invisible. Mines are there to be traps and to be unfair in some way, else they wouldnt exist. That is in COD the case, in battelfieds, rainbow six, mines will stay mines and mines are suppose to stay hidden.
Mines are usually incredibly frustrating, not to mention people with colourblindness like tritanopia literally can't see the mines glow because it's all the same colour, it's inexcusable for arrowhead to not have colourblind modes so this mod is perfectly acceptable because of AH's laziness in accessibility
I think the length of the beam could be reduced and the color based on the mine could be cut to show that it is buried underground without being too obvious, while retaining some gameplay and aesthetics.
