February 2025 Update: Patriotic Propaganda & Disciplined Democracy - February 2025 Update is live! Now your Super Destroyer's Ship Hub and PA System, as well as your Democracy Officer will speak properly on the current events of the Galactic War. :3
Hey, thanks for the mod. I don't understand how I can have different language for Eagle-1 and Pelican-1, when the files have the same name. Maybe I'm not understanding what you mean with patch_0 and patch_1. Can you clear that up for me?
patch_0 and patch_1 is the order of the mod to be loaded. Some times the files are named the same, so if you copy-paste the same abcdefgh_0 into the same folder, it will override the file
in other words, copy-paste the files into the data folder and if you see a warning like "I found another file with the same name, do you want to replace it?" say no and change the patch_0 to patch_1 or patch_2 etc
A question, does anyone know what the German voice file is called? Because the English one is 7c221cf5b12213ac.patch_0, and the Japanese one is 8032cfd34661b7e4.patch_0, but I don't know which one is the German one. D: Can someone help me?
But those are the voices of the helldivers. I'm referring to the German voice file, where Eagle 1, Mission Control, Pelican 1 etc. speak.but it is appreciated anyway xD
it may very well have some trouble with the Mod Manager, because - I believe - the HD2MM requires direct access to the patch files in the folders. Whereas Helldivers International regularly has multiple file layers before reaching said patch files.
I can't really say for certain, as I do not use the Mod Manager.
I got it to work, but it takes a little leg work. The most success I had was by unzipping the set that you want, selecting the language pack you want, isolating those files, and zipping them into a separate file. Name it what you need to (Helldiver Voice 1, Voice 2, etc...), then import that zipped file into the Mod Manager.
A few different mods need this level of work, but if the HDMM becomes standardized by the players, then more mods should start coming out with compatibility for it in mind.
Both Helldivers International and the Helmet Filter mod affect the same archive files, so whichever patch you implement second would just overwrite the first patch.
does the Victorious Vanguard (Helldivers folder) still work with the most recent update? it hasn't been updated for a bit and thought since the illuminate drop it may need an update.
Just this morning I did a complete pass on all the older patches of Helldivers International, and I can confirm Victorious Vanguard is still up to date. There were a few new lines that the Helldivers say with the new Portable Hellbomb, but the vanilla archives still have all the same segment files as the previous versions. So, we're all good there.
That being said, it is completely possible that the new voice lines are located in ANOTHER archive which I have yet to map. Problem is, I haven't unlocked the Portable Hellbomb yet - so I cannot test anything yet. Will be keeping everything updated as best I can regardless!
Loving the Helldiver voices so far. Any plans to assign different voices to other voice sets? (Not sure if I'm wording this correctly.) Say I want to keep the Yuri Lowenthal English voice, but there's a deep Japanese voice tied to Voice 2 that I want to use on Voice 4. Or if I wanted to create an all-male or all-female diver squad.
This is technically possible, and it's one of the first things I tried to do when making the mod. There was, however, a BLARING issue with doing this. See, all the Helldivers voice lines are aligned with each other - they're all ordered and queued in the exact same sequence, EXCEPT the lines for the Communication Wheel.
For instance, I first tried to swap Japanese 1 into English 2 and found that, when I tried saying "Affirmative!", my diver said "I'm Sorry!" - and when I tried saying "Thank you!", my diver said "I need supplies!"
This problem persisted across all 4 voice sets, in that Arrowhead ordered each set's Communication lines differently to each other Helldiver voice set.
Why???? IDFK, but it's hella annoying. And that, unfortunately, is why I haven't made any cross-diver voice set options. It'd be some 80-100 lines per diver, per language, per set to change; and, I don't have enough time in my day to even think of beginning such a task. lmao
Im not sure but Patriotic Propaganda needs an update as well, my "settings" are working 'cause i did change the hub language but the TV ad of the illuminates was still in english
It does indeed, and I will be working on it tonight! The Illuminate updated added something like 8 new reports/commercials to the Ship Hub that require modification.
Is there a specific order? The voice of the helldivers and others are working but the Democracy Officer and the Ship Service Technician are always muted and i have tried 2 different languages
I am currently working on a fix for the Democracy Officer, Ship Master, Ship Service Technician, and Ship Hub. The Illuminate update added new dialogue to the respective archives, which mute the audio for those npcs when my mod - in its current state - is implemented.
Should have a fix for the DO, SM, and SST by tomorrow (12/28/24).

or am I wrong in that?
