Why not voice it yourself? Or you could have another person do it; there's lots of people willing to voice mods out there. I genuinely mean this in a supportive way.
First, English isn't my native language, and my English pronunciation is below okay. Second, my goal is to make the narration sound just like the narrator from The Stanley Parable as similar as possible. Using someone else won't sound like him. So it's either use the same person who narrated in The Stanley Parable, or use the AI that can emulate his voice. Using voice actor is extremely expensive, especially if it's a professional voice actor. I can't afford to use a voice actor for a free mod. That makes AI the only reasonable choice for me to use in the mod.
i really dont get why so many people get mad that its ai. like, duuh? its a mod for a videogame that replaces 400 voicelines. you mean to say that in this day and economy you want someone to PAY for someone to say EVERY VOICE LINE from a character in a videogame just so that you can feel like its "more authentic." i understand not liking ai, but from what ive heard theres not even any ai flaws like slurring or that robotic sht it turns into this sounds perfectly fine to me, and its not like you're getting paid for putting this mod up
It's such a weird line to draw. I understand the hatred for generated images and any form of for-profit things, and maybe if Kevan Brighting expressed a desire not to have his voice reproduced under any circumstances, but this is like... A silly and rather faithful free mod with all credit given where it's due???
People just forget time, place, and occasion, I guess. Hope the author doesn't get too discouraged, especially when they've done such a faithful homage to Stanley Parable and its narrator.
This mod brings me joy! 10/10 this isn't your tik tok ai slop that you see, this is peak usage of AI tools into making an idea come true, from budget to accurateness. I was hoping that the narrator would be a little bit more silly in his voice as he gets the more endings you do but for a military style his seriousness fits way better
Its a free mod, its not like he is asking you to pay him thousands just to play it. No need to be toxic about stuff, they still had to code everything.
Yeah, I checked it out meself now and after turning the music back up to max again, the voice became louder again. No clue how you managed to get it binded to the music slider, hah. Gives me another reason to listen with music on!
I changed the description from sound effect to music slider. And trust me, the in-game radio effect really distorts a voice a lot. It never sound like a same person.
Hah, amazing mod, do love the humor this adds in! I use a bunch of other mods too that I am glad I can keep working without too much conflicts.
Only issue I seem to have, and I am unsure if this is a me issue or not, but even the boosted version of this mod is still *super* quiet for me, even with the master volume and sound effects at 11, on both my speakers and headset and gets easily drowned out by every other sound happenin'. If I had to put a number on it, it's like it's been turned down to like, 30% maybe? Wanted to give a range to help gauge how much to up the audio if you decide to do it.
That's odd, for me the boosted version seemed a bit too loud so I was about to lower it slightly. Do you have "midnight mode" turned on in audio setting?

One suggestion is to add a couple lines where the narrator is baffled or upset at the helldiver for doing something.
:)
your mod is bound to Music slider not the Voice slider i dont know if that it is whats creating confusion about loudness
music is pretty loud itself
brilliant mod btw

In any case though, amazing mod!
