Since the mod manager is quite buuged because of the last update and broke all model/custom mod, how do you manage to make your mod to work when the game crashes as soon as you have a mod of this type ?
The mod manager is working fine for me. The issue was after the last Helldivers 2 update, which caused certain mods to break -- particularly mods that replace meshes. So, mod makers have to update their mods for the newest patch in order for the game to not crash. I think mods that just retexture in-game models work fine, and some audio mods still work, but your mileage may vary.
To avoid the crashing, you probably have to click "purge" in the mod manager and then uncheck the mods that aren't updated to the newest patch. It sucks because there are lots of great mods that aren't yet updated.
Just visuals. If you look in the required files, I link to a mod that changes the Scorcher's audio so it also sounds like the E-11. I just haven't learned how to do the audio modding yet <_<
