Would it be possible to always make the inputs correctly rhyme into the melody just like in triple baka, similarly to this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/helldivers2/mods/3855?tab=videos#lg=2&slide=0
I made this mod pretty quickly and noticed the order of the beeps was affected by the input length. However, I'll do a bit of experimenting with it at some point to figure out how exactly it works, and how best to make the inputs line up. I'll make a test mod that replaces the beeps in the order they're in on the archive with just spoken numbers, and use that to figure out how the ordering works. If I figure out a way to make it better, I'll post the update here. Check back in a few weeks or so and hopefully it might be done.
Awesome, so good to have triple baka sound into this; however it will make other BGM mod disappear. What a pity :_), had tried moving it before other voice+BGM mods, but still won't work.
I believe the HD2 audio modding tool has an option to combine audio mods, maybe it would stop conflicts if you manually combined the two audio mods? I'm not 100% sure if that's how it works, I'll do a bit of testing with it and see if that's a solution for conflicting sound mods. If I find something helpful I'll reply again.
EDIT: I've tested it alongside other music replacement mods I have, and both seem to work fine together. I'm not sure what music mod you're using and why mine works and yours doesn't. I think these kinds of collisions are just almost unavoidable sometimes, unfortunately, but I'll try a few more things if you could provide the name of the mod you're using.
Thanks for this reply, and the update for the new version. I have tested the in-game and it works. As for other BGMs, the immediate one noticing not working is the stim BGM, https://www.nexusmods.com/helldivers2/mods/886?tab=description
Some other BGMs also won't work, but not related to yours. I guess they are now outdated as well since this recent HD2 update.
But what a pain that most armor and material mods won't on this new HD2 update.
Okay, so, I can see that page has two downloads, which of those two does or doesn't work? I can't see why the first would cause issues, but can for the second one. The second one, and my mod, both replace the same archive file, which is why only one of them can work at once.
This is a problem that I was, as it happens, trying to figure out how to fix just before I checked my notifications. Again, I'll come back with any solutions I find. This is definitely far from being a unique issue, so I'll start looking into it more instead of just guessing myself.
Okay, I've finished figuring out how combining sound mods work now. If you'd like, I could talk you through the process of doing it so you know how to resolve conflicts with audio mods? It's a relatively simple process. This comment section isn't the best place to do it, so if you would like some help, would you be alright doing it in DMs here, or on Discord?
