The Illuminate update added new music archives for each faction. Due to this, the Spread Democracy music queues currently in use do not work on the Illuminate mission types, likely due to the new archive having a unique ID for said music queue. I am looking into this and will have an update ASAP.
First off, thank you so much! I'm really happy how it turned out.
Second, I will provide you with these 5 resources, everything needed to start modding audio:
1) Audacity - this is just your standard audio editor, which will be needed for creating/modding/testing your audio & music files and export them as .wav files - Audacity ® | Download for Windows (audacityteam.org)
2) Wwise - this app is part of the Audiokinetic Launcher, which will allow you to convert .wav files to .wem files (.wem files are the ones used by the game - Audiokinetic
3) HD2 Audio Modder - this app is the most important one, as it is the direct modding tool to import/export/listen to/change any and all audio you want to mod in-game - Releases · RaidingForPants/hd2-audio-modder (github.com) (the download is on the far right of the page, next to the "latest" tag)
4) The Wwise Tutorial - this is a user created tutorial on how to convert .wav files to .wem (it's a bit harrowing at first, but keep with it and it'll pan out like nothin) - Helldivers 2 Audio Modding Tutorial (google.com)
5) Audio Doc - this is all the different information we currently have about the in-game audio/music for modding; each file has an associated .pak file it is located in, as well as individuals codes so you can find them easier with the Audio Modder - Helldivers 2 Audio Stuff - Google Sheets
That should be everything needed. I would recommend taking your time, because some of the .pak files are HUGE - for instance, the .pak file with all the environmental/combat/ambient music in it has over 500 unique audio stingers in it. lmao

I will be reporting this to my local democracy officer for traitorous bangers
(I love it)
