This is my first time using a tool like this, and I have a few questions:

    1) Was this designed for people with access to all the voice lines individually or is it for the "two files" (ie: V4 being ce6b3d08283efc3d.patch_0 and ce6b3d08283efc3d.patch_0.stream)?

    2) If it's not designed for the two files, is there a way to make it work?

    3) Should I put the sounds into a folder named after what they are, or what I'm turning them into?

    4) I think I did it right, and I got Rickrolled. Does this actually work or is it just the most elaborate joke of all time (and if it is... well played)?

Hello! Sorry for the long answer.

      1) I'm not sure I can give a clear answer. When modding a file with Helldiver lines, you usually work with patch0 files or with the archives themselves without an extension. As far as I understand, patch_0.stream is created by the Helldiver Audio Modder program itself.
My script just copies files from one folder and renames them to other lines that correspond to another voice. You can check the batch file code and see for yourself.

      2) Again, the script only copies files and renames them.
And the script does not interact with the patch_0 and patch_0.stream files, only Helldiver Audio Modder works with them.

      3) The files must be placed in the folder that corresponds to the voice number. For example, if the mod replaces voice 3, then you need to put it in folder 3, then select option 3. All audio files from this folder will be copied and renamed to other folders Voice1, Voice2 and Voice4. After that, you will need to add them to the corresponding voice via Helldiver Audio Modder.

      4) If there are files in the folder, the program will display the message "Porting complete." after the work is done.
ASCII art at the end is just a joke :)

No problem at all. Like I said, I'm new to this business, so any help is appreciated!

I suppose the crux of my question is: if I was to, for example, download the ODST Dutch voice pack off of Nexus (which replaces voice 1). Could I use this tool to switch it to Voice 3 with the two patch files from the voice replacer download? Or do I need access to the entire library of lines that were changed to Dutch (which is something like 780 lines) and run them through the Voice and Pain Sounds Porting Script?

Thank you for answering the other questions, like I said, any help is appreciated 👍

You just need to put all the files from the archive with the mod (Voice1 - archive 76b0a0e66d61aa15), and the program will copy all these files to the Voice2, Voice3 and Voice4 folders. After this use Helldivers Audio Modder, open the e8e43494a3d38e6c archive, and transfer all the files from the Voice3 folder to this archive, then write a patch. This patch is a ready-made archive for the mod.
