Works for about 10 minutes, then everything becomes washed out and super bright.

is this better than this? https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/1avbh8m/improve_helldivers_2_performance_on_the_deck/

i looked at the config file of yours and the reddit one seems to have more tweaks (looked at your steam deck config)
    also got better fps there

how exactly does installing reshade "improve performance" when nearly every time its installed it degrades performance by atleast 25%??

Because reshade presets degrade performance not reshade itself. I use a reshade feature that disables in game effects, which as a result boosts FPS

there's a large difference between rehade & reshade addons option, one just enchances the visual fidelity with presets, another has an option to disable fog, grass and whatever non addon version does

After a few rounds the bridge of my destroyer has become unbearably bright. Is there a fix?

How do I fully uninstall this? I uninstalled reshade and did a full reinstall of the game, but it still forces my settings to the minimum whenever I launch the game?
    1. I know im late but you need to use the Reshade installer to uninstall it, take the same steps to install it but click "Uninstall" when given the option.

I'm having a lot of crashes since the last patch too, not sure if it is just limited to city maps for me though.
Have purged all other mods, so if it's not my underpowered computer this mod seems to be the culprit. :(

It wasn't this mod, it was just game instability fixed in the patch one week later.

    Greetings fellow PerformanceDivers.

The following message is brought to you by the Ministry of Truth.

This mod author's prolonged disappearance and traitorous lack of instructions on how to use this technology, as well as many reported issues with this mod has led many Helldivers to face unique and insurmountable problems when trying to fight for Lady Liberty.

Below is the exact instructions on how YOU can solve these problems the way we all know best: By liberating them from existence.

+To uninstall "Ultimate Performance", navigate to the shader cache folder in your AppData, back up the folder if desired, and then delete its contents.+

    Here's a more detailed breakdown:

    • Locate the Shader Cache:

      • Open Windows Explorer (The small bar on the bottom left of your homescreen's task bar that says "Tap here to search" and type %appdata%
then press "Enter" or left click on the folder itself.
      • Then, Navigate to: AppData/Roaming/Arrowhead/Helldivers2
. <(You can copy and paste the following to find it easier)>/Arrowhead/Helldivers2
      • Or you might find the shader cache folder within another folder like "local" or "shader_cache".
      • Lastly, delete the Contents: Delete the contents of the shader cache folder. I would also recommend deleting the "user settings" config file in the "AppData\Roaming\Arrowhead\Helldivers2" directory as well, just to be safe. the next time you launch the game, it should restore these automatically.
And that's all you need to do to fully uninstall this mod, the next time you launch your game, all should be back to normal as Lady Liberty intended. Happy Helldiving, Super Citizens.

I'm surprised people are struggling with this mod, I got it working the first time I installed it with no issues
