How do I fully uninstall this? I uninstalled reshade and did a full reinstall of the game, but it still forces my settings to the minimum whenever I launch the game?
    1. I know im late but you need to use the Reshade installer to uninstall it, take the same steps to install it but click "Uninstall" when given the option.

I'm having a lot of crashes since the last patch too, not sure if it is just limited to city maps for me though.
Have purged all other mods, so if it's not my underpowered computer this mod seems to be the culprit. :(

It wasn't this mod, it was just game instability fixed in the patch one week later.

    Greetings fellow PerformanceDivers.

The following message is brought to you by the Ministry of Truth.

This mod author's prolonged disappearance and traitorous lack of instructions on how to use this technology, as well as many reported issues with this mod has led many Helldivers to face unique and insurmountable problems when trying to fight for Lady Liberty.

Below is the exact instructions on how YOU can solve these problems the way we all know best: By liberating them from existence.

+To uninstall "Ultimate Performance", navigate to the shader cache folder in your AppData, back up the folder if desired, and then delete its contents.+

    Here's a more detailed breakdown:

    • Locate the Shader Cache:

      • Open Windows Explorer (The small bar on the bottom left of your homescreen's task bar that says "Tap here to search" and type %appdata%
then press "Enter" or left click on the folder itself.
      • Then, Navigate to: AppData/Roaming/Arrowhead/Helldivers2
. <(You can copy and paste the following to find it easier)>/Arrowhead/Helldivers2
      • Or you might find the shader cache folder within another folder like "local" or "shader_cache".
      • Lastly, delete the Contents: Delete the contents of the shader cache folder. I would also recommend deleting the "user settings" config file in the "AppData\Roaming\Arrowhead\Helldivers2" directory as well, just to be safe. the next time you launch the game, it should restore these automatically.
And that's all you need to do to fully uninstall this mod, the next time you launch your game, all should be back to normal as Lady Liberty intended. Happy Helldiving, Super Citizens.

I'm surprised people are struggling with this mod, I got it working the first time I installed it with no issues

If I just want the Bloom to be back on, what should I mess with? Toggling Bloom back on in the CONFIG file does nothing.

There is an alternative btw which includes stuff from this mod:
    https://www.nexusmods.com/helldivers2/mods/2202
(Thats what i call low quality preset - FPS and clarity booster - reshade plugin preset - performance tweak)

Anyone know why it is when I play a game or 2 it seems like the settings change and my fps drops again? When I boot up the game you can clearly see it's affected. But after a while it reverts back for some reason. Anyone know why? The config file is in read-only.

There are 3 .ini files in the game folder. Settings.ini ShaderToggler.ini and Reshade.ini

Which one are we meant to copy to our resolution folder?

    "...select your resolution
    7. Drag the ini file into your Helldivers2 user settings location"

This part makes no sense to me. How do you "select" your resolution? Like, what do you *actually* do? :P

In the file you download from mod nexus under 'files', if you open it and go to 'configs' within that downloaded file you can see there are 4 more maps in there. Those are the resolution configs (resolution at which your playing/your monitior resolution). These you can replace with the user config file in (if you type %appdata% in your windows search bar --> Arrowhead --> Helldivers 2 --> here is that file at the bottom) your user config file location. Before you do that, take the original user_settings file out of there and somewhere safe for safekeeping, if you'd want to return to your old settings or something might break.

How do I get rid of the little pop-up at the top of the screen with the "ReShade 6.3.3 visit us at..." stuff?

How can I change the brightness on the ship's bridge? After installing reshade and swapping the files, the bridge area doesn't have any shadows at all, and light fills every corner of the space. Is there some way to adjust this to look more like the default settings?
