v3.0.0 is out!  Wait, Helldivas update?

I know I said I was done, but Holy Hell is it difficult to drop a project that you can't stop thinking about.  And how many revamps is this?  I've lost count.  This one brings an asset-focused customization structure, because it's a lot easier to just let you build your own Helldiver than to figure out how to overlay multiple presets over and around each other.  It also happens to just be a great way to offer players exactly what Arrowhead didn't: deep customization options.

It feels so great to have dropped such a big organizational struggle from the project, but I need your help!  I have decided to no longer put my releases through extensive testing, as it takes a lot of time to relaunch the game for every option and if you haven't checked, there's A LOT more options!  Your MO for Helldivas is to find bugs and provide feedback on what you like/don't like about the new update!

So what's next?  Break time!  I'm still very much struggling with whether I want to seriously pick this project back up or not.  But I'd still like to get the project back to full functionality so we'll see.

    Reports:
    - DP Form Fitted doesn't work (models not included)
This is not a bug and I will get to the models when I can.

For those with old Helldivas mod files:

They are broken and will crash Helldivers 2 upon launch!  Be sure to download 3.0.0+ files and install the latest version of HD2ModManager!
If HD2ModManager crashes when you remove the mod / The mod doesn't appear when you add it:

These are Mod Manager bugs!  The Manager will crash when you open the "Edit" window on a mod using images and then attempt to remove it during the same launch of the Mod Manager.  From what I can tell it can't delete the image files because they're "open in another program" or something and this hitch just crashes the Mod Manager.  When this happens, it removes the mod from the list, but not from the files, and so when you go to add it again nothing happens!

    To fix this:

    Press "Win+R"

    Type "%appdata%" and hit ok

Go up a folder, then open "Local\Helldivers2ModManager\Mods"

Delete whichever mod you tried to remove

To remove the mod without crashing:

If you have opened the "Edit" window for the mod you wish to remove during the current instance of the Mod Manager, close and re-launch before doing so!

Awesome update blend! I think I may have found an issue with the Original/old hip bag options for the regular skirt option. It seems to be slightly misalligned. I'll provide some screenshots to show what I mean. All the other options seem to be fine/alligned.

Thank you for the report!  Yes, the OHB skirt is misaligned.  I accidentally shifted the origin of the model when I was repatching the model.  Should be fixed now.

Thanks for this. I really appreciate it. I did run into a problem. Armor seems to blend in snowy environment which I think is a material problem (not an expert so unsure about this). Do you have any plans to fix this?

The models should be blood and grime compatible, so if the game is overlaying some environment textures then it's most likely intended, though I'm not quite sure what you mean about "blending in snowy environment".  I'll have to look into this.

Alright I loaded up a snowy planet and it turns out that vanilla HD2 has some weird environment overlays wherein some armor pieces (at least on the B-01 Tactical) show a lot of snow on the outside and others don't really show any.  Just another irritating quirk of this game.  Unfortunately I haven't even begun to experiment with modding textures yet (nor do I even know if replacing environment overlays is possible) so whatever jank the game has is what we'll have to deal with for now.

Will you make any modifications to the Ammunition Sling of the PH202, which goes through the chest?

I'll see if I can't add it to an "extras" pack for you.  I know clipping issues are unsightly and that's an easy single asset fix.

Would it be possible for you to do an option for *just* Dynamo by itself?

It is certainly possible.  I'll be sure to add that as an option in whichever customization pack it falls under (I still have to figure out how I'm going to group the armor sets).  Keep in mind that it shares it's mechanical arm with the SA-12 and SA-25.

I have released full SA-32 Dynamo asset customization as part of the Steel Arm Customization Pack!  There is a BodyPack switch at the top as well as individual options at the bottom of the Edit panel.  Happy Diving!

Hey Blend, I noticied that on the last pic of the thumbnails you are shown with the more prosthetic mod and your own mod. So I was wondering how did you get that right arm armor plate to go on the prosthetic? what customization specifically?

ORRr does it not work with the B-22 model ctiizen armor? generally idk plz respondddddddddddddddd

I did not use the More Prosthetics mod for that picture!  I added a [S.ervo A.ssisted] right arm (and leg) option to the B-01 Customization Pack, though I know that I have been rather lacking in presentation, so I don't blame you for missing it.

You should be able to set those options and place the B-01 Customization Pack lower than the More Prosthetics mod so that it will overwrite it with whatever right arm armor you selected

It's good to see you back with an update! A surprise to be sure, but not an unwelcome one! Really glad you included both body type options for selection.

After testing, the B-01 customization pack partially works with Arbie's Abdo Styled Collection. The shoulder plates, gauntlets, and shin guards work with minimal clipping. All other modular pieces will remove mesh parts or have clipping.

Combining Helldivas models with other armor mods is a really cool use-case for the customization pack that I never even thought of!  I might have to try some experiments of my own now ;)

Absolutely elated with your most recent release! I think I may have found an issue where the B-01 chestplate 1+2 LL slim stock variation does not really seem to change from the base LL classic bust. I really like the slim look that the B-01 variation 3 and 4 have and directly comparing the the chest plates you can defintely see the difference. I'm not sure if that's just how the the LL slim stock for chestplate 1+2 are but looking at for example the HA slim stock, it is more in line with what variations 3 and 4 have. Or I could maybe just be using the customization pack incorrectly.

It's entirely possible that I patched something incorrectly.  With 3 different chestplates, 2 different styles and a whole other set, that's 12 options per Chestplate, and 36 patches total (not counting the extra v4's).  Just in chestplates alone.  It was a lot of tedious work but it paid off.

Thank you for the report, I'll look into it!
