The Death Weaver

No name. No past. Just a soldier who outlived the war that should have killed her.

Origins: The Ghost of a Forgotten War.

Before she was known as The Death Weaver, she was someone else, someone who signed up, fought, bled, and watched comrades disappear into the meat grinder of battle. She was stationed on Malevelon Creek, a colony world that was supposed to be untouchable. When the enemy came, they didn’t just invade—they erased. Cities burned, command structures shattered, and the frontlines turned into mass graves. Reinforcements never arrived. Super Earth deemed Malevelon Creek unsalvageable and left it to die.

But she didn’t.

She was in the dirt when the orbital bombardments fell. She was knee-deep in corpses when the last distress beacon flickered and died. The war forgot her, but she kept fighting, living off ration packs pried from dead hands, scavenging ammo from the ruins, and turning wreckage into weapons of survival. Days became months. Months became years. The battle was over, but she never stopped killing.

By the time Super Earth finally returned, she wasn’t a soldier anymore. She was something else.

Reintegration: A Soldier Without a War.

They didn’t recognize her. There were no records, no identification tags, nothing but a gaunt, hollow-eyed figure emerging from the ruins, dragging a rifle held together with scavenged plating. She didn’t ask for help. She demanded orders.

Super Earth, ever in need of killers, gave her exactly that.

They trained her again, but there was nothing left to teach. Tactics, survival, weapons, she knew it all. They polished her edges and pointed her at the next battlefield, but something was different. Unlike the fresh recruits, she didn’t fight for duty, honour, or liberty. She fought because war was all she had left.

Present Day: Harbingers of Desolation Kill Squad Commander.

The Death Weaver doesn’t inspire. She doesn’t lead. She survives, and those who follow her either learn to do the same or die trying. She has no patience for speeches, no illusions of glory, only the cold reality of killing or being killed.

She moves through battle like a shadow, swift, silent, and merciless, and speaks like a woman who has already made peace with death. Every mission is just another day spent delaying the inevitable.

But if war is all she has left, she’ll make sure it never ends.
