Hey everyone, just an FYI regarding the latest patch that's come out recently for HD2. I got confirmation from Arrowhead that the issue with the game crashing immediately upon launch because of the use of mods is indeed unintentional and they are working on fixing this.
So for those that have my mod and possibly other mods installed in Helldivers 2 right now and are not able to launch the game, please go to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Helldivers 2\data' (or the 'data' folder in where you have HD2 installed) and move all .patch, .stream and .gpu_resources (if applicable) files with 'patch' in the filename out of the 'data' folder and into any folder on your PC that's outside of the main game directory. The game should work again after this. Hopefully after a fix for this issue has been released by the devs, you can simply move all the mod files back into the 'data' folder again.
I will update again once the issue has been fixed by Arrowhead
UPDATE: My mod and other audio replacement mods seem safe to use and doesn't cause this issue
You were right, one of us would’ve been killed, but you put a crew of 4 Helldivers together? Make them defend extraction while listening to Madonna, indestructible motherdiver.

Hey there. Sure thing. The main WEM file to replace to trigger the extraction music once called in is named "4599805593983129059.wem".
I did also discover myself (which led to me updating this mod) is that a different WEM file plays after "4599805593983129059.wem" and is the WEM file that tiggers in Blitz: Eradicate missions. This WEM file is "1760094332964909593.wem" and this will also need to be replaced with the same extraction music you plan to replace the original with. This way the extraction music loops at least twice and plays during waiting for extraction on every mission.
Let me know if this helps or if you have any more questions. :)
UPDATE 1.2 - Now loops for a 2nd time at extraction resulting in it being played for much longer after the extraction shuttle has landed and now plays during extraction on 'Eradicate' missions instead of vanilla extraction music
To this DAY I cannot get a single extraction sound to play correctly. Not sure what I could possibly have that is conflicting with the files for extraction mod music. I have even removed every mod EXCEPT the extraction music on all the music mods I have downloaded for extraction and they STILL only play a few seconds and then go back to the standard extraction music. Maybe one day I will be able to get them to work, but for now I will endorse because the issue isn't on your end, it must be on mine, and this is a great song for extract.
I've been recently having the same issue. I had MW2 extraction music that would play throughout,, then up to a few days ago, it would do the same exact thing. Now it won't even play at all. I don't have a current solution, but been trying to find ways to get it to work.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I didn't know this to be an issue since I've never experienced this myself. Sorry it's like this for you and KazeeSnowe. Possibly it could be something to do with the fact that the standard extraction music is separated into segments within the original data file that my mod here and other extraction music mods patch over, but it doesn't explain why this issue happens with a small amount of players and I'm confident you and Kazee have downloaded and installed the mod correctly.
Has this been happening for all three enemy factions as I've only tested this on the Automatons and Terminids so far?
Also, did you download this mod using the mod manager or you downloaded and installed it manually?
Another possible theory could be the anti-cheat system but in my experience so far I haven't seen HD2's anti-cheat detecting any sort of cosmetic or music change mod.
I'll be happy to look into this for you to see what could be causing this as it's made me somewhat curious.
And thanks for endorsing regardless of it not working for you yet, I appreciated it :)
EDIT: Did some quick looking into fellow Helldivers having the same issue on other extraction mods and saw a suggestion on renaming the 'patch_0' part of both files to 'patch_1' to make sure there's no conflicts with other music mods you may have installed since it all in the same file ID. If you can try that if this is applicable to you and let me know if this sorts it out :)
I download manually. I have placed it in the mod manager all through my mods and also by itself after running a purge/redeploy. It's weird. I have a buddy I play with has the exact same issue. Got it to play a few seconds, and then goes back to the standard extraction music. After testing, it does it on all factions. Every single extraction music I have I have tested and they are all the same. Wish I could explain it.
I will try to rename to see if that helps and let you know.
Got it to work with the patch_1 modification, but then once I got back on ship the system froze and had to restart my PC, not sure if that is why, but it did play all the way through. It was a bit quieter than I expected, but love that it finally worked.
I purged and then verified steam files then redeployed with that "patch_01" modification to the file. No issues. It DOES need to be almost all the way at the bottom of my mods list to play though. Still a pretty quiet audio, and I have my in game music set to 9 of 11.
Glad to hear that suggestion worked and your able to experience the extraction music and I was already into making the music louder since the sounds of some parts of the music does get drowned out by all the spreading of democracy hell breaks loose. I just wasn't sure if this was just me so thanks for confirming.
Keep an eye out for an updated version of this mod to fix that problem and have it's volume match close to what the standard extraction music
Works like a charm and sounds MUCH better... absolutely love this version of the song, so thank you so much for putting in the work and responding so I as well as others possibly having the issue can enjoy your work!
