I've installed this latest update having never used this mod before via the Arsenal Mod Manager with nothing else enabled, then selected the Imperial version and deselected the others, but the mod only changes the icons and nothing else. Am I missing something? The only other thing I do have is a Re-Shade mod installed manually for toggling the HUD, capes and armour accessories, and I don't think that should conflict. (?)

I've never had this happen before but I thought it worth mentioning since someone else seemed to be having the same issue below. Very strange!

Reshade shouldn't conflict.  I have the same reshade mod and it seems to be fine.

I'll update my Arsenal Launcher and see if it breaks anything.  I'm old and set in my ways with the old Modloader.

      EDIT : Using Arsenal 0.27.1
      - The only mod deployed is this one (Just to be safe I double checked the Helldivers 2/data folder for other .patch files)
      - All three options (Republic, Empire, M-Empire) work as intended.

The only thing I can think of is another mod might be also changing text.

If there are two text changing mods the game will do one of two things.
      1. Pick one to read from.
      2. Read neither of them and pull the vanilla text instead.

      EDIT 2 : Updated Arsenal to 0.28.1
      - Same result as 0.27.1

      Super strange.

I appreciate the response. I've had another play around to see if I can isolate the problem, but it was unsuccessful.

For the record, I'm running Arsenal 0.28.1.
I always ensure that I disable and purge mods before I change anything.
In this instance I began by isolating the mod into a separate profile, and deployed it alone to avoid conflicts. This attempt resulted in no change, so I progressed to removing the Re-Shade mod, and then verified my game files and relaunched in vanilla, before reinstalling the mod. This attempt also failed.

Lastly, I decided I'd see if the Mod Manager itself was the problem, so I installed the game files manually, and ensured each of the files that I wanted were renamed appropriately. Unfortunately, this mod still refuses to work and I remain seriously baffled.

I am not a complete novice at modding games either, as I've spent years doing these processes with TES, GTA and Star Wars Battlefront games. It just seems that this mod refuses to work on my client, with only the icons changing.

Extremely unfortunate, as it seems I'm going to have to suffer without this for the time being. Thank you, regardless.

Oh, you might have already checked this but it's worth a shot.
Have you checked your 'Text Language' under the 'Accessibility' setting?

In steam there is only one option, but in the game itself there's English (US) and English (UK)
I only know how to change the US version.

Well, that's embarrassing. I can't believe I forgot about that. Yep. I'd had my text language settings set to English (UK). Completely resolves the issue once I change it in-game. I feel like a complete idiot now, lmao.

      Thanks for the help!

I'll see if I can overhaul English (UK) this week, I don't think it'd increase the file size that much.

for me the mod only changes the faction icons on the map, everything else, planet names, faction names etc. hasn't changed. i've used the mod manager and selected only the republic version but is there anything else i'm doing wrong?

Only thing I can think of is there is another mod conflicting with this one.
If there's another mod that changes text it may be overwriting the text of this mod.

Super weird, I've been trying to recreate this issue the past few days, and nothing has really worked.

What might have happened is one of two things.
      1.
      A file corrupted when downloading.

      2.
The modloader is completely missing a whole folder when deploying.

I have 5 folders in this mod.  Two for Faction Emblems, Two for Text Changes, and one for the Pa System Voice Pack.
The Republic Option reads from both the `Icons-REP` and `Text-REP` folders.
The Empire Option reads from both the `Icons-IMP` and `Text-IMP` folders.

You could try manually deploying them by renaming the text file to 9ba626afa44a3aa3.patch_1 and moving the files to your data folder.
      \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Helldivers 2\data

    Hey there,

Great mod but I would appreciate if the weapon and Armor changes were separate and optional. Not a huge fan of it.

I fully agree with you, I've uploaded a new version that reverts back to the mod's original scope.
I'll delve into the Recolor side of this mod further and make it it's own listing at some point in the future (If I'm ever fully happy with it.)
