Thanks for this! The cargo pods were an interesting twist.

One note about the reactor: the instructions say "it will begin to meltdown on exposure to a vacuum" but I found my Swordfish with the reactor room unpressurized. It wasn't until I breached the hull that it started melting down. So "unpressurized" is different from exposure to hard vacuum. That makes sense, now that I think about it; the puzzle is how do you get the reactor out if making any sort of hole will cause it to melt down.

If that part of the ship is pressurized, depressurizing it will lead to the meltdown beginning though

And repressurizing the area will lead to an immediate explosion ^^

I think this is a negative interaction between a vanilla game bug and the reactor. The vanilla game has a bug where sometimes rooms just don't pressurise, even if they should - and the reactor is looking for a pressure loss event, which obviously doesn't trigger if the room never pressurised.

Nice ship. I like the twist with the reactor. Any idea how to handle the cargo pods hooked on with the fuel lines? I can get them off no worries but it doesn't matter where I put them I don't get the rewards. Doesn't matter if they're infected with AI nodes or not.

I figured it out. Demo charge on one of the ends, or the sies depending on cargo config. Tether crate to a jack, tether into processor on the side that comes off. Boom. Barge the bits, kill the AI, chuck the rest into the processor. Sorted.

I'm having a hard time cracking the reactor without blowing everything up. I figure I need to set charges to open up the back end quickly, after I've decompressed and started the meltdown, then shove the back end away while I yank off the reactor panels. The charges invariably blow something up (I've tried moving the fuel tanks someplace else...)

    Any tips?

So, it's been a little while since I did it, just jumping into game, a couple of tips:

      • Spoiler:
        Show
I don't use the regulator, I use the decompression to help me pull the ship apart. Remember to hang on!

Put some external tethers on before you start.

Remember to release the engine, so you get a bit more time.

Remove the reactor panels before you start.

This is one of the main puzzles, so give it a few goes before reading all of the spoilers!
