Hey your invincibility mods for reach, 1, 2, odst and 4 having been working flawlessly for more with no real problems whatsoever apart from having trouble with 3. I've been experiencing problems with the game crashing or black loading screen. I've read through the previous comments here to find a solution and done what you have told others and what has worked for them. I tried all of that and still nothing to come of it
To this day, I'm still having this issue. I've tried all the solutions mentioned earlier, but nothing is working for me. I just get a black screen when loading into the first mission and after like 30 seconds I get a fatal crash.
Edit: I tried starting from the crow nest, but the cutscene is bugged for me. I can't see any marines or the main characters in the cutscene. If you tried to skip it. It takes you back to the start of the cutscene.
Hello, was wondering if there is an option in assembly that disables instant headshots? I’m trying to mod the resurrection revamp updated version and I think I know how to make all allies “invincible”? I’m honestly just changing their vitality values to 999,999 and seeing if that works but when I go to try, a headshot to a marine or grunt still instantly kills them so I have a feeling I’m just not doing it right in the first place xD Another question I have is where I can find the setting in assembly (if there is one) so allies don’t get infected by the flood? Besides the scripted ones of course. Don’t know if you still respond to these as it’s been awhile since I last revisited your mod but I shall wait and see! Thank you!!!
Very strange…… CE and HALO2 's Invincible Allies Working just fine (Bytheway Nice MOD :). But reach 3 and 4 Didn't work at all (Can't even enter the game, The game exit to the main menu when loading). I want to know whether this has something to do with my MCC is not in English version, or whether 343 has updated something.
Hmm, it might be. I'll go through and recheck all the files and my MCC. What language do you have yours set to? I can change my MCC to that and do some testing on my end.
Chinese menu text. And Voice selection is still in English. Strangely, as far as I know CE is more susceptible to language selection, but this time CE works perfectly. In addition, I switched some other HALO3 mods and found that they can work fine, so I don't think there is anything wrong with my MCC so far.
I did just put out an update as of replying for an update to all Halo's but Reach for a different issue, so you could retry downloading the latest version and giving it a shot. I completely redid all my changes after validating my files through Steam, which will hopefully fix it.
All I edited in each of the games was a tag per level per game to make it so that the friendly AI don't die to damage. It's not really invasive and does not change the scripts, plugins, or scenarios at all so I'm really at a loss my its given you such a hard time.
I will keep looking into it though if the newest version doesn't fix it. I have confirmed though that at least 4 works for others, though I do not know what language the users are playing in.
(If you do end up retying my mods, due to the way the MCC stores your saves, it wont be updated with my most recent changes if you try to resume or restart the mission, you'll have to swap to a different mission then load in and go back to the one you were on.)
Did you download manually or with vortex? With any MCC mod, I personally recommend manually downloading as it helps minimize potential issues. Vortex downloading should work fine but unfortunately I cannot provide support for vortex. That being said, I cleaned my local files, downloaded my file saved here, and ran it with no issues. So it doesn't look like the issue stems from my provided files. Make sure you also downloaded the 2.1 version not the "2.0 to 2.1" as that file only contains Floodgate and The Covenant.
Yes I did download manually, following your instructions. I verified my files and will be attempting the install again after I post this reply to see if maybe I caused a fault somewhere else.
I wonder if for some reason steam was trying to auto launch it in safe mode? Booting right back to the main menu, now that I think about it, seems like it was launched with anti-cheat enabled. Steam is a host of issues so it would make sense if it just launched without double checking first.
If you have one in particular I can make it so the allies are invincible. Though just now for ones that have allies and enemies of the same type (i.e. H3 revamps that add elite enemies) it makes the editing a bit tricky. I've personally been playing this revamp for h2 in which I made the allies invincible.
Yeah, I am playing resurrection revamp for halo 3 so it does have elite enemies. If its possible that would be great!!! Also if you have an awesome halo 2 campaign mod that works with the invincible allies I would love to try it!!! Thank you for responding <3 Also sorry for late reply I didnt get any notification xD
For whatever reason, it is only the responses in the bugs that give notifications. I'll play through it myself so I can see what I need to mess with then I'll convert it and post a google drive link containing the updated files here.
Sorry for so many replies and questions but the h2 mod that youre playing, did you make the allies invincible or did you pair it with the halo 2 invincible ally mod?
I see you posted this on all 4 pages. I can see for this game, but in 4 there is only a single marine scripted to die, one in CE in the first level and none in Reach so I don't really think it's that big of deal.
That being said, scripting is a bit beyond me at the moment as I literally taught myself how to mess with the tags the day I uploaded this file. If there is a different mod you would like me to see if I can make allies invincible (one that adds more Marines for example, and that is working for the current MCC version), then I can see about doing that.
