I'll make it temporarily available on Google Drive until this is resolved https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LT9RKpjANILodH_miQv0qQzgPedoJE60/view?usp=sharing
Very strangely, aside from the new mod metadata in the updated JSON file and a slightly tweaked readme file, no other files are changed. Nor is there any executable code.
Hey dudes. I want some help for the installation, please. I have the Win Store MCC version. I tried to install the mod, but nothing happens. I followedstep-by-stepthe instructions on the document into the zip archive: Extract the Firefight CE folder, place it in C:\, paste the direction in the ModManifest.txt, place it in %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Config\ and open the game with Anti Cheat Disabled. But nothing happens. It's like the game doesn't recognize the instruction and the existance of the folder. Everything stills as the OG version. Somebody know a solution to run the mod in the Win Store version?
Hey, have you got v1.02? The MCC update today invalidated previous versions. I can't see any downloads of 1.02 in the stats, if it's an older version MCC will refuse to load it.
It sounds like you've updated your ModManifest.txt correctly.
Yes. My MCC is already updated and I downloaded the latest version of your mod. I repeated the steps and the problem stills here. Again I placed ModManifest in the directory and I extracted the folder in C:\, and added the line in the text document. But when I open the game, only appears the four sections in Campaign menu: Restart, quickstart, missions and playlists. As a details, I have my MCC installed in a hard drive, not in the ssd. But I run it from the latter. I noted a detail in the ModInfo text that could be important for the problem or not. The line says: SteamWorkshopID. Doesn't that affect this version detecting the mod? For WinStore, should it say "Microsoft Store ID" or something like this? I don't know.
Wow. Your solution has work! I created the folder "Halo Mods" in Program Files and I placed this direction in the ModManifest (F:\Program Files (x86)\Halo Mods). When I opened the game with Anti Cheat Disabled and went to the Campaign menu, finally appeared "Built in" and "Firefight". I feel so really happy for this. Finally I can play your mod. Thank you so much for the help! I will get so much fun!
You're very welcome, I've reported some of the bugs introduced out to the 343i tracker the modding community use, so hopefully these will be fixed. I'd love to be able to engage 343i directly to turn things into actual functionality instead of horrendous workarounds, so we'll see.
I am looking at the Digsite content and would hope to provide some additional options for the player in the next version.
You can directly talk to 343i members on the Discord server "Halo modding reclaimers", mlaybe they'll listen to you Looking forward to play a new session with digsite content
I guess one of the recent MCC updates moved The Master Chief Collection into a folder on my hard drive called X Box Games. The folder called "ModifiableWindowsApps" is empty. I followed the instructions but I can't get this mod running. I suspect it's an easy fix, and it's probably something I've overlooked. Thanks
Where MCC is is irrelevant, you can extract the mod package anywhere, and all you have to do is amend a single file explicitly referenced in the manual install instructions to point to where you extracted the files.
Are you looking at the latest version? There is no longer any need to replace MCC files.
Pleased to announce the release of a new map "Extraction", set in the area with the first marine squad on "Halo". This supports dropships, and should provide a blast for those who like vehicle combat and close range combat. A few other minor fixes as well, please refer to patch notes for these.
Minor update, mod package has been updated to support the latest MCC build. There are no other changes, nor am I aware of any bug fixes or changes 343i have made that impact this.
I am aware that in the newest version of MCC the graphics for maps are screwed up. A new build will be uploaded shortly with rebuilt maps that fix this and use updated CE tags.
An official workshop release is due in time as well.
Edit: This is now available on the Steam Workshop. The file on Nexus Mods will continue to be updated to provide manual installation for Steam / Windows Store using the new mod format. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2898809930

Can you try amending the directory structure to include a parent mod folder and then extract the Firefight CE directory there.
For example C:\Halo Mods\Firefight CE
Then in modmanifest.txt add the following:
C:\Halo Mods
This can obviously be any folder anywhere
I have my files in the following directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Chelan_1\H1 Mods\Firefight CE
My modmanifest.txt has a single line:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Chelan_1\H1 Mods
Let me know how that works!
