I do like the idea but I feel like making the weapons more like AI type is better. What I mean by this is when you play the campaign (or even firefight for that matter) ai's have abilities you (the player) do not. Mainly with weapons. (This is for legendary only I'm pretty sure). AIs have rapid fire or higher fire rate in some weapons than Noble 6. Weapons I have noticed that AIs can shoot faster but you cant: Plasma Pistol, concussion rifle, Plasma rifle, Magnum (Kat mostly, not sure about the marines), shade turrets and fuel rod turrets, grenades (I know it is not a weapon but they throw so fast compared to you), and maybe the needle rifle.
I do like what you did with the assault rifle. Anyways, I would love to see the weapons you use to up to the AIs level when playing on legendary. If you do not get what I mean, go on firefight, make yourself invincible, put it on legendary and then put on a custom skull. Change the settings of the custom skull to the best the AIs can be. Then you will see that I mean by AIs just having a massive advantage when skulls are turned on etc with weapons.
I've had a read through the plans for this mod and if I'm honest i think getting rid of the marines is a bad idea due to them being a big part of what halo is.
I agree but I think it would be cool on a couple missions but it would make the game feel shallow, i think it would be cool too change them in some way when they do show up, cool ideas though and anywhere where Ican keep up too date on the updates of this mod?
even if its making them ODSTs or Marines instead of army troopers or even other Spartans would be cool, Could also just thin their numbers in certain areas that way you can make it feel like "Ohh we really are losing this war we have hardly anyone left apart from these elite units" if you get what i mean
I think you've got a really novel idea, but I think you chose a really s#*! level to show it off on. If a big part of your idea focuses on deleting allied units aside from Noble Team, having Lone Wolf be the demo level makes it kind of impossible to get a good feel of your idea.
It's a Beta only to show the weapons, if anything that is weapon related that needs to be changed, then it'll be considered. I am planning on releasing a Beta 2.0 with 3 maps to test the vehicles and more weapons available, but the marines are less likely to be removed now, could be planned improved to assist you on the battlefield.
