Yes it does because I verified it countless times before upload, extract the map to haloreach\maps in your MCC install folder, make sure ff70_holdout is backed up, now replace it, then, load up MCC with EAC disabled, load firefight on Holdout, the mod will load.

I did Firefight Limited with my usual custom settings and loadout on Easy, but when I loaded, all I got was a black screen.

Edit: I think I got it, it's because I was playing Limited and not Classic. Still, when I try to edit the enemy waves, I can't load in.

That's... odd. Because most of my testing was just setting wave spawns to random things like Hunters and Brutes on wave 1 and then grunt skirmisher boss wave.

So is the "True Ending" just when the Harbingers of my end come after me? Spent about an hour with them and just kept getting wave after wave of them. Would be a tad disappointing if that happened to be the extent of the true ending, but it was definitely still a fun change of pace. So are the Harbingers the True Ending, or is there something after they show up that's supposed to happen? Great mod all in all, gonna play it a lot more.

Yeah. I wanted to do more with it but due to limitations of Firefight I couldn't, wanted the hud to start cracking over time for example but the tags for that crash Firefight on MCC but not the tools for whatever reason. Really the main goal of Harbingers is the same as Lone Wolf itself, see how long you can last before you die. Sorry there isn't much more to it, but i'm super glad you like the mod regardless!

I more than like it, I'm quite in love with it. I took a look at the scripts just to see how you did what, and I thought I saw something about HUD cracks, but I assumed I imagined it since I didn't actually see any during play. And yeah, knowing how limiting working with just campaign or multiplayer maps can be, I'm not surprised that FF is in a similar boat.

Oh the hud crack scripts are in there just in case i ever get it to work in firefight, i just commented out the trigger to make it turn on, it being active is what causes mcc to basically go "nope." and crash to desktop

Haha, fair fair. I'd love to see it working someday. It'd be pretty cool if you could make it happen throughout the match, and reset to a clear visor on respawn, but that's probably super involved to the point of not being worth the work.

    Hi Hi!

I loved this mod, it was f***ing awesome!

Not only was it really cool to see a map that I have been wanting to see ported on over to reaches firefight, I absolutely love the changes you made to the weapon sandbox that's used in this map. My main weapons being the Assault Rifle and the DMR.

I also love the little intro that plays each time you boot the map up. Although there's barely enough time to select your loadout. I don't think you did that though. Either way, It's a really fun and balanced firefight map that has a s*** ton of effort put into it.

What I really loved was the way the secret ending operated. I had to go around the map to find the clues and everything, It took me a few hours to get it but eventually I finally got the thingys done and finally got to see how the Harbingers of my end continued to blammer on about how there was no escape and that everything had to end, made me feel extremely hopeless after noticing how you took away multiple things Will not reveal.

Yes. I made this comment because I wanted to do it. I could've blabbered on somewhere else. But I didn't.

Everything about this mod is great the enemies are fair, but unrelenting. The weapon balance is good except one of them. The Assault Rifle is great, but it feels like it would feel a bit more balanced if it had a little bit more of a recoil. Thats my only major gripe with the balancing. The AR is a good workhorse and the DMR is a good weapon for the more shielded Elites. The pistol is an amazing fallback weapon. The shotgun saved my ass more than once and the fire rate increase helped. The intro is amazing, and I hope to God this man gets the praise he deserves. All I know is that when the Harbingers of my end come near, I'll greet'em with a smile, and fight till I drop.

Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed it. In regards to AR recoil, only reason i didn't is because recoil in Reach is fake screen shake and not true recoil, that was removed after the beta and (to my knowledge) doesn't work in the retail game even if enabled through the tags, needs a DLL edit to actually enable it which tbh is far outside my knowledge. I did try and add a bit more screen kick to it but it just kinda felt weird so i went back to vanilla kick.

Damn that sucks. It's pretty balanced unless something doesn't have shield so if there's a ton of grunts it's a massacre.

A really really long hellish looking script that took about 20-30 hours to properly write and debug on its own, using animations borrowed from the old Post Game screen from 360 Reach, and lots of patience getting good looking camera shots. The idea honestly came from Halo 5's mp intros, but I added the helmet zoom entirely because it looked cool.

That helmet zoom in reminds me of halo CE cutscenes

Damn man nice mod, I just played on heroic and I started getting overwhelmed when the brutes came in with the jackals, its tough but it makes me feel like I can do better. Nice job.

I found a data pad up in one of those tubes with grates on the inside that prevent you from going in, Are there anymore laying around? and does this have to do with the true ending?

No that's from Lone Wolf, left it there because the data pad adds to the atmosphere. Lone Wolf only ever had one pad. That area does come into play in activating the true ending though, if you ever see "a hiding place" come up, you know where it is, but you have to trigger that first.
