Welcome to Ruby's Rebalanced Reach!


This is a full Campaign mod focused on refining the sandbox to create a more gratifying and decision-based game. The entire sandbox has been tweaked such that every weapon, vehicle, Armor Ability, and AI has a distinct and useful role to fulfill, all about finding the best tools depending on the enemies, situation, and environment.

Legendary difficulty has been refined to be less frustrating, and more fair, while still challenging. Also featured are several level changes and additions, cosmetic tweaks, and more!

1. Move all of your vanilla maps to a backup location. Maps are found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\haloreach\maps, everything from m10 to m70_bonus, but NOT m70_a. Also back up the campaign.map, and shared.map files.

2. Use a program like WinRAR or 7zip to extract the modded map files, and place them into where the vanilla maps used to be.

3. Whenever you want to play the modded maps, just make sure you open the game with anti-cheat disabled. Have fun!


Follow the same installation instructions, but place the extracted file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection, and overwrite the existing folder.


Shoutouts to Vengeful 'Vadam, Zeddikins, and the Halo 2 Overhaul community for all their help and inspiration that poured into this mod.

A small known issue is that the Assault Rifle's non-empty reload sound, the Magnum's secondary withdrawal sound, and Rocket Launcher reload sound are all muted. I have no clue what caused these issues, and no clue how to fix it. If anyone has any insight, I'd greatly appreciate it. 

Reach is extremely important, as it's Bungie's grand sendoff to the Halo series. So it deserves nothing but the best through a labor of love right back at it from the fans. My goal is to make the game as close to perfect as possible while still delivering a faithful experience to vanilla. Hope you enjoy this mod, and I'll see you star-side!
