GUYS! This tool is open source. You can check the description and it'll link you to Github, so I'm sure whatever improvements you have in mind you can do yourself. that would actually be nice as I believe if more and more people contribute to improving this mod manager, it could be the go-to tool for downloading halo MCC mods in the future.

I still use this but its sad it got discontinued.
    Desperately needs new features.
most importantly folder-file recognition when creating a modpack, so you can just pick a folder to replace instead of having to pick every single file individually which takes forever.
other needed features include; option for adding mod-files that dont replace any vanilla files. ability to tag mods with which game they are for. or what type of mod it is. or what version it is. and so on.

it still does it job and beats using nothing, definitely.

edit: also recently ive been having issues with original campaign map files disappearing (august 2022)

Small question is just for me to ask if this works on the Microsoft Store version of MCC, since I didn't want to buy the entire thing again when I've had it on xbox since MCC came out. If it doesn't work on the Microsoft Store version, I already know the reason. Just need confirmation as to whether or not it can work.

It seems that this still has issues with backing up files. I installed a mod, played it, uninstalled it, and the original map file was missing.
It worked for some mods but the last one it didn't.
It's best to manually backup your files just in case!

How do I uninstall the mod manager properly? It doesn't show up in the apps under settings and I don't see an uninstall option from the app itself. I don't want to uninstall the files manually as that may lead to problems later.

This to happened to me as well, to get around this I opened the file location of the mod manager and opened the application from there. For whatever reason that seemed to work, though a little inconvenient. I haven't tried yet, but you could try uninstalling the mod manager and reinstalling it.

This amazing tool makes modding so much easier thanks!

Just one question, Could it work with Reshade?

ReShade isn't a mod in the same way, it's more a graphical overlay program, and I don't think that's what this mod manager (or any other mod manager, for that matter) covers that extensively.

Yes it can in short, however like Laser said, you don't use reshade through the mod manager. They can coexist without any problems as separate applications.

That's what it was designed for, yes.

Does anybody know specifically which files need to be kept backed up on-hand in the event that the Anti-cheat-disabled version of my install breaks after installing/uninstalling a modpack with MccManager? When the restore files feature doesn't return the game to booting, what do I do next? Does this mean that I should assume that I cannot 100% trust the file back-up system with this mod manager..... thus i'll be needing further backups?

I have heard that there is a "Verify Game File Integrity" feature on Steam, but I'm playing the windows store version. (i know, boo! right?)
I was successfully able to try 1 mod which changed halo 3 to play as ODST rather than chief. It would have been cool to play if the author set their jump height to where the player could get over the first log on the Sierra 117 map. I then tried using MccManager to install Combat Revolved 1.4, the two mods affect different halo games so I assumed they wouldn't conflict.
The anti-cheat-disabled version of my game hasn't launched since. I disabled the two mods one at a time within MccManager.
I tried using MccManager's "Restore All Files" button but I am still with a no-launch condition. The Anti-cheat version will boot fine.

Any help is appreciated. I'm mostly assuming that I don't know what I'm doing.
