    Hey is there any way to update the tag files to the current version? I'm super bummed that Season 8 dropped and broke this mod. Would love to keep using it but I have no clue how to update it myself. If there's a tutorial you can point me to or anything like that it would be much appreciated.

      it works fine, just uncheck the 'use existing raw pages' so it doesnt use any existing things and it should work fine

      Awesome I’ll check that out after work, I’m assuming that’s a checkbox when I import the tag file into the map? My solution was to rollback my version of the game to before Season 8 lol. On a side note you said you were able to accomplish this model port in a very short amount of time, is there a tutorial on how to do it in the Halo Modding Discord? I don’t want to keep bugging you but I was curious as to how hard it would be to port the MA5B model from Halo CE Anniversary into Reach.

      oh, its pretty easy to do it, i havent put it on the discord but others have very similar methods to what ive done here is a video that rejectedshotgun made on how to import models to reach:

        
      you DO NOT need to set the scale to 0.01 originally.
      Scale the model to 0.4 and rotate on the x axis by 90°
      For the texturing tool just drop a dds image file onto the correct exe and it will create a .tagc file

      (FYI: when the halo reach mod tools are officially released, this will become completley obsolete)

      Awesome I didn’t know you had plans to update this further. The textures/shaders on the world model looks so much better, can’t wait to see your finished work. Thanks for linking me the tutorial, I’m gonna dive into it in my free time. If it wasn’t for your mod I wouldn’t even know we could finally import custom models fairly easily. It’s a dream come true.

    Is this usable in campaign? I imported the tag same as Aligatorade but have had no luck beyond this step, I edited the starting loadout in SCNR to it but no dice, I then tried to see if I could just change the DMR model to it via WEAP but no luck either. Any help would be appreciated, I’ve been waiting to have the BR55 from H2A in Reach since people figured out model swapping and would love to use your work. Thanks ahead of time.

      you will have to add functionality to the ai manually in the char tag, and make sure when importing to uncheck 'used shared' or whatever its called

      Thanks for the heads up, I ended up swapping out the model/first person model of the DMR and updating it to function like the BR and that worked fine. Been waiting to use this bad boy in Reach for over a decade really can’t thank you enough for setting up the TAG file and uploading it here.

    So, does it function like an actual battle rifle, or is it just for aesthetics?

    I'm new to Halo modding (and also pretty bad at it) so I need some assistance pls
    I've gotten to the point of injecting the tags in, but I don't know what exactly to change after the tag has been injected. It's probably stupid simple but I'm just completely lost.

      For this you will have to rename all of the dmr related tags, since I forgot to rename it to 'battle_rifle'. Once you have done that, if you are just on forge world, go into scnr, find the sandbox weapon pallette, find the dmr and replace it with this new one
