it works for game pass, but you need to do some extra steps to make it work.

I do not recommend using GamePass as you will have to manually install and update the mod! I also can't really be certain that this works for everyone. I don't use GamePass so I can't really test it myself. 1. Make sure you have MCC installed and you have both the Halo 1 Campaign and Halo 1 Multiplayer downloaded. You need both or the mod won't load. 2. Download the mod here~ 3. Unzip the mod files and put them in an empty folder called 'mods'. This folder can be anywhere you want. The folder structure should be \mods\Cursed Halo Again\[mod files] 4. Navigate to AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Config Appdata is a hidden folder by default in windows! The easiest way to get there is type %appdata% in the location bar and then go up one level. 5. There should be a file in Config called ModManifest.txt If it is not there you can just create a blank txt file with that name. Open that file and in there put the absolute path to the \mods\ folder you created earlier. For example, my ModManifest.txt looks like this: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\HCEEK\mods
6. Save the file and that should be it. 7. Make sure you launch MCC with anti-cheat off. It should be in your windows start menu. You may have to search for it.
Also you need to apply this fix aswell to make sure that Cursed Halo Again work with every new MCC update
you have to modify 'Cursed Halo Again\ModInfo.json' to have a later patch version simply change the line 'minor' of MaxAppVersion to 9999, this way it will work up to V1.9999 of the game.
Does the coop even work for this on mcc? every time i try to start a game with a friend, it just crashes the host. We both have it installed correctly, as single player games work.
As you can tell by that date this mod was published it has not been updated for season 8. Some comments have some helpful tips to get it working most likely you'll just have to do something else and hope an update comes out in the near future.
edit: nvm, this def the 'old' version cause the laggy sniper isnt in this
idk if anyone else has had this problem but the RGB flashlight isnt working. At 1st i thought i hadnt loaded it up properly and was playnig vanilla, but then i saw a pixelated plasma shot, so idk what gives, is that version of the mod just not out yet?
"For anyone who is having problems... I finally was able to get this working by not putting the cursed maps in HALO1/ORIGINAL/BUILD/MAPS anymore. Put them in HALO1/MAPS and leave the folder that says custom_edition in there without doing anything to it. The three custom edition maps seem to be newer than the three that actual custom edition has so maybe that changes something."
Files to backup - \steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo1\maps
Copy the files in "Cursed maps" to \steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo1\maps
Copy the files in "Custom Halo Maps" to \steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo1\maps Copy the files in "Cursed Halo Maps" to \steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo1\maps\custom_edition Make sure when creating the game session to set sound and graphics to classic
for MP do all above and delete "cursed-" from the map files names and change Derelict to carousel.map

"MaxAppVersion": {

We have the cursed halo 3 and ODST but not the halo CE
