With the release of official H3 mod tools, I am working on bringing back Demon as a more feature rich and stable mod. Currently, I am pretty busy with work, but the new tools should cut down on the amount of time it takes to complete the next iteration. Stay tuned.
Firstly, i apologize for the lack of updates. I am currently away on training for my job and will not be returning until late august, upon returning, i'll get started on remaking this mod.
Hey friend just swingin by again lol finally got a working pc again so wanted to check in. Glad to see it's still getting worked on! I keep telling my friends this is the best halo 3 mod I'd experienced so far haha hope the wait is worth it for them to finally give it a spin! Take as long as you need homie we'll be there!
Do you ever plan on modding Halo 2 campaign at all?
If you could ever do a custom mod for me I'd pay you for your trouble.
What I'd like to see for H2 campaign is the following:
- make all the health and enemy health values In Legendary the same as they are in heroic. Legendary in Halo 2 has more enemies per level than heroic but it'd be nice to play against this increased number of enemies with the same challenge we get in heroic difficulty.
It would also be nice to see your friendly allies become less effective then they are by default. Everyone seems to always want to make the friendly AI more effective when they mod Halo 2 campaign but I've always found in Halo 2 your friendly AI is too helpful in that they make the game too easy and seem to steal so many of your kills which is beyond annoying.
I'd love to play Halo 2 campaign where it feels more like combat evolved in that master chief is the one doing the majority of the heavy lifting against the Covenant and the friendly AI are sorta just in the background offering minimal assistance. It ends up feeling like more of a proper video game and less like a call of duty playable movie where the AI does most of the work for you. I'm not sure if you get what I mean. But I think these changes would make playing Halo 2 campaign much more enjoyable.
For weapons, I'd love to see the Halo 3 assault rifle make its way into every mission in Halo 2 if possible.
Also, if the battle rifle, SMG and pistol along with H3 AR could be each added into the level "Gravemind" that would be amazing as well as I've always wanted to fight the Brutes in Gravemind with human weaponry.
I know your busy updating Demon right now. But if firing this mod together is something you'd ever be interested in doing you name your price and I'll pay you for your work.
Are you going to bother setting custom values for the weapon viewmodels this time since we can now adjust them?
The custom weapon viewmodels are a nice feature but the only issue I have with them is that you can't do a set value for the each individual weapon.. and with a centered crosshair it is not possible to get the BR and AR both looking good.
When the AR looks right, the BR looks wrong and vice versa.
Also, are you going to do your custom AR skin again because since they now allow us to use our own skins ?
Awaiting the return of this beauty mod with excitement.
Thanks for your work!
PS wondering if the new mod tools for H3 will prevent this mod from being broken by future updates
I'm still doing the custom viewmodels, as I don't personally find the built in custom viewmodels quite variable enough.
As for skins, I'm still trying to do them. However the way shaders work with the mod tools is totally different from Assembly so I still have lots of figuring out to do.
As for whether or not this mod will still be broken by updates, I'm not sure, but with mod tools it'll be MUCH easier to fix regardless.
Do you have any plans for an ODST version of this mod? That would definitely be really cool. Maybe you could have the Elites be the main enemy for the first chunk of the game. This would be a nice change of pace, and make sense lore wise. While the Brutes would be at night, and the second half/last third of the game.
I'm not currently planning on making an ODST: Demon overhaul, mostly because I feel the fast paced gameplay doesn't match the feel of being an ODST in my opinion. If I were to do an ODST overhaul it would likely be something completely different.
Hello again, just wondering how things are holding up - any updates so far?
It's a shame that the Season 6 update sort of killed mod compatibility for the MCC - this mod's my favourite way to experience Halo 3. 343 really ought to step up their game when it comes to making mods more accessible.
Its super annoying for me because I love all these mods and I could care less about all the crap 343 has been adding to the MCC with their constant updating. What a way to kill the modding community for Halo.

I check up on this mod every week to see if you've posted a message.
Love this mod. Greatly appreciate you keeping it alive!
