Hey do you think you will make a new 4K 60FPS video using the InfinityDown-2160.mp4 as source file? It appears to have better quality despite lower frame rate.
Wait, hold on: there already is a 4K variant of the "Infinity Down" cinematic that ships with the game. The video file's in the same Halo Infinite\videos directory, only with the name InfinityDown-2160.mp4 instead of InfinityDown.mp4. I assume the game uses that version automatically when you're running at a resolution higher than 1080p. Did you just not happen to see it?
That said, I still think the interpolation to 60fps is a worthwhile improvement.
Wow! It definitely has not installed that file for me. I wonder if this is part of the HD campaign texture pack or the multiplayer texture pack? I currently have neither installed and do not see this file. If I had, I wouldn't have spent a few hours upscaling this haha
Yeah, weird for sure. I'm not sure why I'd have the 4K version in my game files but you wouldn't. Your theory about it coming with the high-res texture pack makes about as much sense as anything.
Oh well, still not like it's work gone to waste or anything. The 4K version that they ship (at least in my copy!) is still 30 fps, so your 60 fps interpolated version is better in that respect anyway.
