Not sure how different Last Recode is from the original PS2 games, but I'm going to share Observations based from the original PS2 method of using a Cheat Device for modifying the Player Character, as it should still be the same.
-Across all 3 volumes, various characters have unique weapons that could be acquired through cheating. I am not counting characters that eventually become Party Members, so this could be used to get their weapons early. The following weapons, however, do not record in the Ryu Books. Be careful, many characters are Volume Exclusive, so trying to use some characters in some Volumes might result in a Crash instead.
Sophora has a unique Dual Blade, Binding Chord, Lv. 82 (Vol. 2/3 Only). Sakaki has Heavenly Dawn (Lv. 87) and Gabi has King's Tail (Lv. 147) as unique Greatswords Ovan has Demon Slice (supposedly mistranslated from Twilight Slice; Lv. 78) and Taihaku has Maxwell (Lv. 113) as unique Bayonets. Sirius has Death Fist (Lv. 67) as a unique Fist.
It might be possible to unequip the Empty Skies, Empty Shadows, and Empty Mirage weapons in Vol.1 and Vol. 2 (They are set as "Characters" in the games), but I was never able to confirm. Somewhat gave me trouble.
-In Vol. 2/3, getting the Job Advancement to use multiple weapons breaks equipment menus. Every character only has 3 slots: Weapon, Armor, Accessory. Haseo has the Dual Blades, Broad Sword, Scythe, and Dual Guns, Armor and Accessory. So when modding in a new character over 3rd/Xth Form Haseo, you won't be able to change their equipment. This really only affects non-Party Members, like Taihaku. You can pre-empt this by re-fitting other characters with the gear you want before swapping. This is theoretically fixed in Vol.4, with the Eight-Phase Blade returning Haseo into the standard 3-slot setup, but I would need to test this.
-When playing as a Non-Party Member, DO NOT GO INTO THE STATS MENU!!! THIS WILL CRASH THE GAME!!!
-Melee classes have their own Weapon Arts and Skills. You need to reset the Skill Trigger in the menus first before going into Combat to prevent Crashing. Spellcasters do not have weapon arts, so require force changing the Skill Trigger via cheating into Spells. DO NOT USE THE SKILL TRIGGER MENU TO SET THE SKILLS FOR SPELLCASTERS!!! THE TEXT IS A GARBLED JUNK MESS, AND WILL CRASH THE GAME IF YOU TRY TO MODIFY THE SKILL TRIGGER!!! Spells do not count for Rengeki Bonuses, however. Might need to cheat in a Max Awakening bar to make use of them.
-Many non-Party Characters have genuine Beast/Demon Awakening animations due to them appearing in the Arena. But NOT FOR DIVINE/AVATAR AWAKENING!!! When using a character that is not Haseo, DO NOT USE DIVINE/AVATAR AWAKENING!!!
Quick Trivia: Hacking Ovan into the Party in Vol.3 suggested that Ovan was set to be made a Party Member in the game. He has a 2nd weapon in his Inventory, named "Coming Reincarnation." This means his currently-equipped weapon, Demon/Twilight Slice, Is Not His Lost Weapon! But as there is no proper model for the weapon, trying to use it in any way will crash the game. Coming Reincarnation fits his Avatar's title of "The Rebirth" more than Demon/Twilight Slice.
Vol. 4 treats the Demon/Twilight Slice design as his "Coming Reincarnation" Lost Weapon for the sake of the Story. It can't really be considered a "Retcon" considering that we aren't supposed to know of this detail. Hence why his Twinstar Rift takes more after the initial Demon/Twilight Slice weapon.
I don't quite get what you're trying to say with all of this tbh XD but..
I could change their gear quite well with how I have it set up, I don't think I could change it manually, but I could through cheat engine. Getting their weapons would most likely be possible, just had to go through the IDs and stuff.. I couldn't get into putting Ovan and some overs into Volume 3, it would just crash the game with the steam version.
Cheat Engine. This is a table used by that program that does what the description says. I don't blame you for not knowing though, I didn't at first either since it wasn't mentioned in the description.
