Why?
The original dialogue in-game is utterly compressed and it has not been fixed in the Defective version whatsoever, in fact, it actually is even worse.
It has its charms yes, and honestly, it's full of SOVL. But I was wondering if it was able to remaster the audio with help from RVC AI. Hence why this mod.

but HOWWW????
I extracted the vocals from the cutscenes folder which are way less compressed compared to the files found in SCRIPT or SPC_xx. I separated the vocals and other audio from those files with Ultimate Vocal Remover, then I would cut up the data in Audacity based on which characters is speaking, then I removed the reverb and trained them in a RVC AI model. Simple, innit.
There's often just a few minutes of voice data for most characters, so the quality of those AI models were ranging from just fine to decent enough, so don't except perfect quality (thanks Cockstar for "losing" the master tapes)
(unless RVC V3 drops in the near future, who knows how better it'll sound.)
It's not lossless, but at least it's twice the quality (see the attached spectrogram in pictures, for instance).

CHARACTERS DONE:
  • CJ
  • Big Smoke
  • Sweet
  • Ryder
  • Cesar
  • Woozie
  • Zero
  • Catalina
  • Mike Toreno
  • The Truth
and maybe more in the future but idk man im lazy

ADD NOTES:
  • Woozie in "Mountain Cloud Boys" is partially done because his AI model was acting rather funny at the moment when he becomes mad; so that isn't included. I think it's because he's a lot calmer in cutscenes than in missions, so the AI freaks out there.
  • I have no idea if this works in the Definitive Edition.
  • Ryder is definitely the weakest in my view; as earlier said, will probably update him in case RVC V3 rolls out or something.
  • Occasionally, some dialogue may be pronounced different because of the lack of samples there are available and that the original dialogue was mostly terribly compressed to begin with, so I think that the AI confuses itself there.
