For everyone commenting about the mod needing an update because it no longer works, just use a program called Flawless Widescreen. It allows you to change the third person, first person, first person aiming, vehicle fov and more.
Hey man, i just want to verify, you use Flawless Widescreen with GTA 5? I ask because it's not listed as a supported game on their site. This is the first i've heard of that program and i'm interested in it, if it works for gta5 and can do what you mentioned it can do. Does it matter that i'm not using an ultra wide monitor? Just have a typical 16:9
I know this is probably irrelevant now but only the car fov works for me :/ If I uncomment any of the other options, (walking, aiming, etc...) the game crashes a few seconds after startup.
Download the GTA V FoV v1.35 Google it. Install it. Then you MUST edit the settings in fov.ini Remove everything and replace it with this:
; If you only want to change certain fields of view, ; comment out the others by placing a ; at the start of their lines. [FirstPerson] ;Walking = 68 Car = 69 ;Aiming = 64 ;Crouching = 66 ;ADS = 60
[ThirdPerson] ; Some people have reported issues with changing the third-person FoV, ; so it is disabled by default. ;General = 68
[General] ; If you want to use another mod based on dsound.dll, you can rename it, ; uncomment the line below (remove the :wink: and change other_dsound.dll to the name you gave it ;ProxyLibrary = other_dsound.dll
Any chance we'll ever see an Update to this Mod? It was literally the only FOV mod for that GTA 5 that worked perfectly and allowed for online play. GTA is an amazing game in first person, and the fact that Rockstar never allowed for a FOV beyond 45 degrees is so unbelievably stupid.
And No, the Extended Camera settings mod is NOT a replacement for this mod. Firstly, it doesn't change all the things this mod did, and Secondly it can not be used online.
Flawless Widescreen also has not updated their support for GTA 5..... this mod is our first person last hope for anyone who still likes to play GTA in first person...
