if you look in the installation log and scroll down you are probably seeing this error message Unable to open ARCHIVE with path "x64\patch\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf" in parent archive "E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf", return code "PathNotExists".it means that OpenIV (or another modding tool) is trying to access a .rpf archive (scaleform_generic.rpf) inside the update.rpf file, but it can't find it at the expected path. Here's how to troubleshoot and solve the issue:
1. Check if the Path Exists Navigate to: E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\x64\patch\data\cdimages\
Look for scaleform_generic.rpf
If it does not exist, that's why you're getting the error.
2. Copy Missing File from Original Game Files If you're using the mods folder setup (which is correct and safe), then the update.rpf in your mods folder must be a copy of the original. Here's how to fix it:
Go to the original game path:
E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\update\update.rpf
Open it using OpenIV in "Edit Mode".
Navigate to:
x64\patch\data\cdimages\
Copy the file scaleform_generic.rpf.
Now go to your mods folder path:
mods\update\update.rpf\x64\patch\data\cdimages\
Paste the scaleform_generic.rpf file there.
⚠️ Make sure OpenIV is in Edit Mode when you're pasting files.
3. Verify Your Mods Folder Setup
Your mods folder must contain a full copy of the update.rpf if you're modifying it.
Always use OpenIV's Tools > ASI Manager to make sure the mods folder is set up properly. Your welcome:)
Can I play online while having this mod installed without any issues? I play single player and online back and forth, wouldn't like to be uninstalling this mod every time I want to play online.
