after finaly getting my goods back in right order,i'm gonna continue creating version 2, with all stuf from v1 optimized and a load of new assets, including more performance friendly trees, huge mushrooms, and many more.
due to my rig being hijacked and crashed by damnable scammers ,i currently lost all my exterior grimrock assets. so unfortunately the exterior project is currently on hold , once i get my rig and grimrock modding tools and stuf back in order, i will most likely return to grimrock 1 modding and see what i can do on one other note framerate may increase when you turn of ssao in game menu. something about this pack doesnt sit wel with ssao at all!
Just got my hands on the game and I just looked into the editor for your assets, so here is my opinion on a few things:
1) Maybe you can give all models a preset like exterior_set_NAME_ (modname/author_cave/ext_objectname), or something like that. That way it would be easier to identify your set from the standard sets and everything from you is in one place. 2) Just quickly trying to get the job done, but I failed: Maybe you find a way / model to make a transition from cave_ceiling2ndstore to cave_ceiling? I read something in your readme, but didn't figure it out. 3) More ideas for assets: maybe some road / path floor tiles, dirt / rock floor tiles, ruin walls, house walls, more tree walls, ... Regarding placeable objects: rather not to much - it would'nt fit so well with the gameplay to clutter everything.
For the moment I kind of look forward to this. So far it's a great addition, even if a bit more complecated to use.

My only query relates to the optimization of :
ashtreeleafs ( tree canopy)... We lose 10-15 FPS ...It would be great to halve the FPS ...!!
