EDIT: Did some changes, this "rare" bug shoudl now be fixed in 1.3. I also replaced alcove in wall with just normal wall to avoid confusion. Alcove was actually a remnant of my originally planned solution
I found a bug (warning to those that haven't played, this comment contains spoilers).
When trying to destroy the wall in level 2, I accidentally threw the box at the wall (was trying to place it on the shelf so it would get hit with the blast). Because the wall is inset, it seems the box is now too far away and it wont let me pick it back up again...
Aaneton: yes, that's it, I made a lizardman in order to have a good rogue but he was put as the second character, and my minotaur (I wanted him to be the fighter) became the 1st character. The lizardman had 65 hp. About the difficulty, I think it's well balanced...
Spiders were ok, I was massacred by those little bugs in the last level Ok, I'll try it again and maybe check the walkthrough Anyway, I still haven't found a custom dungeon as atmospheric and original as this one. Great work.

Try taking out spiders one by one, you can retreat behind the bolts in power grid if you need a breather.

I also found the partner dead and I'm unable to get past the critters on level 4 with a single character, I get cornered and killed almost immediately. It seems I have to restart. Btw how many levels are there?
