One of the idols that is in the 'desert' has the "ancient ruins" text/zone pop up, despite being outside (which is fine and I understand the argument for saying it's in the desert, just... confusing).
5/5 in reality, mod is fantastic - thanks! Has a couple rough edges (trying to pet dog by portal, trying to summon Fetish Army in tight spaces, minor spelling errors here and there), but not enough to bother me in a real fashion - it can be easily worked around once you know what's up.
Any chance of seeing the TitanQuest:ImmortalThrone classes make its way here as well? Would love to mix those into what's there. If not, no worries - I understand it'd be a ton of work.
Thanks for the feedback, I will look into the quest description. Spelling errors and the overall kinda bad writing is really bothering me, so I might do one more update where I fully focus on improving it. Though English is obviously not my native language, so not sure how creative I can get.
Porting Titan Quest classes would be too much work (as you already guessed), unfortunately. I think combining Dawn of Masteries (with the TQ classes) and Nydiamar would push the database above 100MB, which makes updating any records a bit messy and buggy.
With regards to spelling errors and the like; don't sweat it - to be honest, they've honestly been pretty rare - I'm actually having trouble recalling them now. The only reason I commented it on all is actually because of how immersive and great the mod is - randomly reading one can take me out of the immersion for but a moment.
Again though, I wouldn't sweat that stuff at all - seriously, the mod is so good; it's honestly the essence of Grim Dawn, but refined and amplified in all the best ways (not that the base GD game is bad!). Loving all the content, it's just been fantastic for my friend and I to play/replay; no matter how many characters we make, we're not bored of it in the slightest.
Nydiamar Ultimate version is simply too difficult and not fun. Ultimate version forces the player to streamline into one attacking skill right from the start. Hence it doesn't encourage character build experimentation. Any sort of experimentation has heavy penalties. Even with the blessings from the squirrel, using components, etc, the game is still too difficult. This mainly stems from all the resistance penalties since it is in Ultimate difficulty right from the start. Ultimate version is like playing Dark Souls (a game which I hated). Ultimate is not recommended for beginners. The Classic version of Nydiamar is better. Regarding the theme, it is awesome. Very dreamy landscape, beautiful music, great assets etc.
Fair enough. It can be true that I did not yet find that middle point between too easy and too difficult.
If you still want to give the Ultimate version a try, there is a helpful buff called Nydar Mode which boosts your stats quite a bit, you can unlock it through the Lectern of Wisdom > Exchange > Nydar Mode dialog option (for I think just 25 000 Iron Bits) - use it temporary until you feel strong enough. Also, one of the Blessings actually counteracts all the resistance penalties from Ultimate. Another tip is to simply skip too difficult content until you are stronger (such as Hawton Mine), almost all Devotion Spheres are reachable without fully completing the dungeons, except Sanctuary - and the additional Devotion Points will help you a lot! The difficult and hard to balance part is normally only in the beginning, maybe the first 20 to 30 levels, so it gets easier.
If not, simply enjoy the (hopefully bug-free) Classic version, up to you! Feel free to ask for some help.
Sorry for the late reply. The Ultimate version can only be played on Ultimate for many reasons. The difficulty is unlocked right from the beginning, if you want to start on Normal, check the forum post for the Classic version, though I do not recommend that one.

1.1.9.6 did not require an update at all, but my last update from 4th July worked just fine during testing. You could try verifying the game files in Steam (if you are playing through it), and maybe try it without Rainbow Filter (if you are using it), and see if it works then.

Create a new character. Don’t use characters from other mods - you will mess them up (You could name each character after the mod you plan on using for better readability — e.g. Nydiamar Norbart). Again, you can not use an existing character (especially not one from before Update 8)!

Characters that was used in other mods like the standalone Diablo 3 Classes (NOT the one included in Nydiamar), or other modpacks like Dawn of Masteries (which also has Diablo 3 Classes included) or Grimarillion (also has Diablo 3 Classes), should not be loaded to Nydiamar. Heck, do not even use characters created from the base game. Or use characters from mods in the base game. This happened to me once (an accident caused by someone else switching mods in my game and not switching it back after playing) and I lost my char that is already on Elite difficulty.
it seems that Vortex can't download Nydiamar (Classic) version....... stuck at 57% download....... something about Bad Gateway 505 or something like that... Ultimate version downloaded without anything like that, but Classic version got two times error and stop downloading at 57%..... I do not have FAST internet so downloading 2GB takes me 1 hour -.-

when I play the mod with German localization, the npc's speech bubbles are not displayed.I have no problems in standard language. Can I play the game in standard English and only display the item explanations in German?
