Hey dev, not sure if you are looking to update the mod but so far I really love it, though sometimes I do feel like I'm playing a lightning shaman more than a priest,. But once I unlocked Rune of Arcane and the Serus Intervention, I really feel the class coming together with the veil.
The class really seems to reward using the veil to slow enemies and then using ROA to keep enemies there then dipping out with the escape, a glass cannon playstyle that comes with self-heal and defense.
My only wish for the class is kinda to have a buff? I realised there's no spirit reserved buffs but either way, the class is really simple with great options to become a dark priest transmutes.
Not to nitpick here, but this sounds more like a cleric than a priest. A priest is a position in a church dedicated to teaching and leading worship of a certain god. A cleric is a person who is granted power by a god, usually through devotion and prayer. Priests and clerics both talk to gods and spread their word, only clerics get talked back to and get their powers via their worship. Unlike a Paladin who gets their power via their belief in their oath, Clerics must pray every day and do rituals to get their powers. Priests are typically ordained by the church and given that title, where as clerics don't necessarily require any connection to a temple or priesthood. They are simply a chosen champion of that god/goddess. Meanwhile, priest may pray to their gods, and sometimes get results with the right rituals/sacrifices, etc. but they are largely unreliable. Their purpose is more one of teaching and spreading the faith, while the cleric is truly a champion of the god/goddess.
Huh? What do the combined class names have to do with the primary name of this mastery? You can literally decide to make any of them whatever name you would like as the author of the mod. You also didnt address any of the things I asked or stated? I wasn't trying to be rude to you or insult you at all, just pointing out the difference between what you have named it and how the term cleric seems to fit better. You decided to respond back with sarcasm. Ok, I guess. I mean its your mod, do what you like. It was just a suggestion.

I hope this does not come off as a rude or disrespectful comment, this is to say I have been playing the class and I don't know if you meant for the class to play the way it does but the class feels exactly like i am playing an arcanist/inquisitor with necromancer damage modifiers. the class does not feel like i am playing a new class it feels like I am playing a class I have already played, but I got to say even though the class feels like that i have been liking the class
You're right about the transmuters, the necromantic relation is on the fanfic/lore , but Arcanist? Arcanist has no attack replacer, no chain lightning skills, no pet player scaling, no mobility skill. The only thing similar is the Ele/Aether damage types. However, the intention was to make Priest as a good combo for Arcanist, Inquisitor or Necromancer indeed. New mechanics we will only see from the devs, when the new DLC arrives. Thanks for sharing!
ah that is why it feels slightly like arcanist, and the reason i say arcanist is because of constantly having to micro manage movement to stay out of damage when casting spells
i also wanted to ask about the lightning skill you can get at level 1, I got to the king in act 1 with only the lightning weapon you get from the dead body, I didn't have to equip any items and I full cleared all map areas all the way to the king in act 1. I thought that was weird all I did was put all my skill points into the lightning skill line
Yea, it's kind of strong, it has almost the damage scaling of Panetti's, but with weapon damage added (which is the greatest complain of anyone that plays Panetti's: not having weapon damage)
ah ok well i am not complaining about it i just thought it was interesting to be able to do that also i haven't been really paying attention to the stats and that is because when i play a class i want to see if how it feels when playing it then i pay more attention to stats and so far the class as a whole is enjoyable and there is minor complaints about 2 or 3 skills in the skill tree but they are to minor of a complaint to worry about

How difficult would it be to change the name?
Be grateful someone took the time to make a new class and remove the stuck-up white knight virtue stick from your ass and enjoy.

if there is no 'mods' folder, just create one and extract "Priest" to it
